George Carlin explains why Baseball is a far superior sport to Football.
Baseball > Football

I remember seeing this some years ago and it's always stuck with me. Given that football season is coming to an end and baseball season is starting up, I thought it appropriate that everyone know why baseball > football. I think Carlin makes a lot of good points. The attributes of sports that we subconsciously think about. This might also explain why women prefer baseball to football.*
*I don't actually know if that is indeed true, I needed to get over 75 words to publish this.

Such a classic bit.
George Carlin was a genius. I also agree baseball > football.

A decent bit. I expected better given the great source and the rich theme but it was alright. Not sure that anything in that indicates that baseball is superior. In fact, given the way that Charlin plays it and his conclusions, it seems a lot like he is making baseball sound silly and football sound like some kind of masculine warfare. Having played both his conclusions are kind of silly, but that’s a stupid critique to make of a comedian.

This should probably be a Fanshot instead of a Fanpost.

(I’m qualified to answer) Or, why some of us … like both.
And, I disagree with him about the goal of baseball….we all know it’s to beat the Phillies.

Wait, wait
Are you indicating that you like it both ways?!
biggentleben - February 3, 2012
Erm
Auto correct – should read “Are you indicating you go both ways?!”
I ruined my own joke. Bad.
biggentleben - February 3, 2012
HaHa, but you didn’t Ben – I’m literally laughing out loud right now. :-D

Carlin is a legend and one who always makes me laugh
The comedy world lost an icon when he passed. Though to comment on the topic at hand, I would have to say I favor football, slightly more than baseball. However, I drive my wife crazy by obsessing over early season games and treating each one with a very high level of enthusiasm. Maybe a bit more if the playoffs are on the line.
