That’s his pitch. He throws the change up. To continuously get fooled every time is ridiculous. It’s almost like this isn’t a sport where you have a gameplan or strategy.
Craig Kimbrel needs to internalize the message from the Ruiz AB. Your stuff is just better than almost anyone out there. I’m not saying he doesn’t know it, but with recent “struggles” (in Kimbrel terms) he absolutely has to be thinking with that mindset, the closer mindset.
My point is that you have to show faith in those guys in the biggest game of the season. Regardless of what happened, you have to give them the ball and let them win it for you. They just didn’t deliver and they have cost us down the stretch. Sure Fredi worked them hard, but they would have been established as the 8 9 guys regardless. If they had 5-7 less appearances, maybe it would have happened to them like it did a week ago too. We played too much close games and that is the fault of the offense, which fueled Fredi’s desire to overwork his bullpen. I’m pretty critical of Fredi, but when a strength turns into a weakness you are just screwed, that simple.
Yeah, because we have demonstrated over and over again how clutch we are with RISP. How dare he be agressive there and try to force the issue. It’s every single guy on the team’s fault because not one of them has come up big or even hit anywhere near consistently the last month. Parrish may be the worst hitting coach in the world, but he isn’t swinging for them. If he’s f’ing up your swing, then just don’t listen to them. I wish everyone would stop making excuses for their favorite players. This is on everyone.

To cheap seats. I’m not going to stop loving the Braves regardless of how this season ends. And with a team with talent, this outcome is anomalous. We are only going to be better next season, and a winning team will draw after Memorial Day.

My point is that you have to show faith in those guys in the biggest game of the season. Regardless of what happened, you have to give them the ball and let them win it for you. They just didn’t deliver and they have cost us down the stretch. Sure Fredi worked them hard, but they would have been established as the 8 9 guys regardless. If they had 5-7 less appearances, maybe it would have happened to them like it did a week ago too. We played too much close games and that is the fault of the offense, which fueled Fredi’s desire to overwork his bullpen. I’m pretty critical of Fredi, but when a strength turns into a weakness you are just screwed, that simple.

It’s every single guy on the team’s fault because not one of them has come up big or even hit anywhere near consistently the last month. Parrish may be the worst hitting coach in the world, but he isn’t swinging for them. If he’s f’ing up your swing, then just don’t listen to them.
