I really wish I lived in Geogia so that I could go and support the Braves in person. I hate it that the place is rarely full. It’s especially sad to see since we are in the mix.
I was at last nights game and I agree that it wasn’t a big crowd. I was at Turner Field a couple of weeks ago on a Monday (Lowe’s 12 strikeout game) and the crowd was about the same. Most games that I got to are weekend games and the crowds for those are usually pretty good. This basically confirms what I have believed all along. We have in Atlanta a good base of support but it is spread out over a large metro area. People cannot come into the city for games during the week on a regular basis. I think the traffic in the Atlanta area dosen’t help either. Anyway, I am hoping more people show up tonight because the weather is better. The rain may have kept some people away last night. But in defense of last nights crowd which I was a part of, the people that were there were really into it. I have been there on nights when there was 40,000 people there but they didn’t seem to be into the game. It would be nice to get more fans there but the good thing for me and other serious fans of the team is that it hasn’t been hard to get good seats at a nice price.

Yeah, I was surprised at the crowd after the hour and five minute rain delay. They came out of nowhere…
