For the rest of the season we'll keep a daily tally of the Atlanta Braves chances of making the postseason, along with daily commentary. Also consider this a daily open thread for general chatting.

| Phillies | 87 | 61 | .588 | - | W5 | 12 | 97.7% |
| Braves | 84 | 64 | .568 | 3 | W1 | 18 | 77.8% |
Great win last night. We really needed that, and we need a few more of those. Jason Heyward is a BEAST.
And wadayaknow we picked up a game in the Wild Card race. Though Colorado stayed close -- I'm still really worried about them more than anyone else in the Wild Card hunt.
Let's see if Timmy Hudson can straighten himself out this afternoon after a few questionable starts.

Can anyone post some of the article on Freeman and Teheran on Baseball America that was recently posted

Any word on Mattingly coaching in the AFL?
He was the supposed to manage the team with our prospects.

The Braves are 35-10...
When Heyward accounts for at least two scoreboard tallies, through a combination of runs and RBIs. They are 16-0 when he puts three on the board.

So, what you're saying is.....
All the losses are Heyward’s fault, because he didn’t score enough runs. He’s clearly an overmatched rookie and needs to be BENCHED!

I’m intrigued by your ideas, and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

anyone know Omar's prospects at the batting title?
Doghnut - September 18, 2010
Have to figure he’s getting close to qualifying. He’s been getting 4+ ABs for like two months now, and he already had a bunch before then.
Scott Coleman - September 18, 2010 via mobile
He has 443 PA. He figures to get about 50-60 more ABs the rest of the year.
Its possible he wins the title without any adjustments. CarGo has to slow down a little though.
Tim Goad - September 18, 2010
CarGo’s on the road for more than half of his remaining games. He’ll slow down.
It would never happen, but I’d love to see what CarGo could do at a fair park. Heck, put him at Turner Field for half the year. The guy is obviously very, very talented, but Coors is such a joke.

True.
I just wish Infante would have been starting earlier so his chances would be easily realistic.
Tim Goad - September 18, 2010
Even if he doesn't win
it’s still pretty awesome that AUTOsingle is going to finish top-3 in the batting title race.
Scott Coleman - September 18, 2010
trade him to Petco Park

I think this is big
That we picked up a game on the NL West leaders too. Gives us a little extra cushion.

Hey guys my wife just surprised me with tickets to the game on sunday!!!
I was wondering if anyone had been to the stadium if so how are the promenade seats?
UpstateNyBravesFan - September 18, 2010
Just curious how the Braves’ magic number is larger than the number of games they have left. Shouldn’t it be something like 12 or 13 since the Braves are 1.5 games up in the wild card with 14 games left?
redwards95 - September 18, 2010
I think MN only refers to the Division
Doghnut - September 18, 2010
Yes.
