It's as if the Braves have tried everything, and it's still not going right. The Braves pulled the old shortstop switch-a-roo. Then we bought the ACME Farnsworth-Ankiel Minimal Impact Two-For-One, and finally we tried the ACME overpriced injured over-the-hill veteran. And yet we keep slipping further and further off the edge.
The Atlanta Braves Fan Confidence plummeted this week, falling to it's lowest point since early May (when the Braves had that disastrous nine-game losing streak). This current stretch of awful play by Atlanta is just as bad as the nine-game losing streak -- according to the fans who vote in this poll.
The confidence rating dropped for the third straight week, going from 83% confidence on the 23rd of August to 78% confidence last week, to a paltry 67% confidence this week. Considering how terribly the Braves have played the last three series, I expect this number to drop even further before it starts to turn around (IF it starts to turn around).

Let’s hope we salvage the rest of this series against st louis so the confidence starts to rebound in monday’s poll

Since the Braves are such an awful road team, this home stand is critical to the season. A losing record in the next 6 home games is pretty much going to seal their fate.

Better to bottom out now
than in October. Just be glad the Phils are peaking now and we should catch them on our upswing and their dowturn.
king of games - September 10, 2010
Phillies haven't been on a downturn in a while now. I think they will continue to rise up
BravesFanScout - September 10, 2010
Good thing you how things will work out for them!
UpstateNyBravesFan - September 11, 2010
well
when your postseaon odds drop 20% in 1 week, what do you expect?
Slee - September 10, 2010
Fan Confidence might drop after seeing who is batting 6th tonight
Lineup:
Infante
Heyward
Prado
McCann
Lee
MCLOUTH???
Gonzo
Melky
Minor
A WTF lineup.
BravesFanScout - September 10, 2010
I just had to laugh when I saw that on O’Brien’s twitter. I can understand starting McLouth since he’s been hitting better of late (and what’s the alternative? Ankiel?), but 6th???
redwards95 - September 10, 2010

Considering
that more rational lineups have utterly failed in the last 8-10 games, no point in not trying out new combinations. I’m even willing to try McLousy batting cleanup. Anything to shake up the woeful offense.
skymuse - September 10, 2010
True. When rational things fail, all you can do is continue to be rational. Eventually you run out of rationalities, and you have to wait to break out of the slump.
Joseph_C - September 10, 2010
put Melky in center
then either Diaz or Hinski in left. Heward in right as usual. We need offense.
BravesFTW - September 10, 2010
Is this not what we have been doing?
UpstateNyBravesFan - September 11, 2010
McLouth batting 6th?
Why isn’t McLousy embarrassed that Tim Hudson has a better batting average?
GaryG7 - September 10, 2010
You guys do realize
We still have the 2nd best record in the NL, right?
Scott Coleman - September 10, 2010 via mobile
the top 4 teams in the NL are all within 2 games
sowhatifitisasportste - September 10, 2010
Yes, and?
Scott Coleman - September 10, 2010 via mobile
any one of the could win 6 straight or loose 6 straight. If you think about it the diffrence between a GIDP and a base hit in the gap is only 3’
sowhatifitisasportste - September 10, 2010
So which musician are you?
No team has ever overcome a 1-game deficit with over 20 games remaining. Ever. I defy you to prove me wrong, Captain.
Jman781 - September 10, 2010
as far as i know
the music group on the Titanic didn’t have a trumpet player.
:o)
BravesFTW - September 10, 2010
Nope these people thing the sky is falling... Snap judgements are the best kind.
UpstateNyBravesFan - September 11, 2010
When we are good..
we can beat ANYBODY.
When we are bad we lose to anybody.
Braves have the raw talent. They just need to rise to their natural potential.
BravesFTW - September 10, 2010
But we play McLouth. Not sure if the braves overcome that.
taney71 - September 10, 2010
McLouth actually hit the ball a few times he was up to bat recently!
Joseph_C - September 10, 2010
problem is
he doesn’t get many hits with men on base. plus mostly singles. if he could hit singles for average then he could be our leadoff guy that gets on base and steals second. that’s what he used to be.
BravesFTW - September 10, 2010
All the Braves have to do is start winning again to turn our confidence around. It shouldn’t be that hard a task to go 4-3 or 5-2 vs the Cards and Nats. Great road teams they aren’t.
redwards95 - September 10, 2010
It is not this day.

sddbaker - September 10, 2010
What about
stopping the postseason pace analysis every day. Since that started, we stopped winning. TC controls the braves its obvious.
Xshare - September 10, 2010
I hate to say this but
we started losing right when McClouth and Glaus got called back
BravesFTW - September 10, 2010
Yeah, those two bench guys are the reason we suck.
Scott Coleman - September 10, 2010 via mobile
I didn't say it was logical
but the timing is correct. Maybe lower team moral?
BravesFTW - September 10, 2010
Our team has great morals.

First time I remember
This is the first time I remember a Braves team that gets hot together and gets cold together. Generally players heat up and cool off over a season but other players pull for them when they are cold. Its like everyone hits there strides together. I think we still have a shot at the playoffs but if we dont start playing the game the way we should play then its gonna be another long offseason.
