Oh, man. A co-worker and I were talking about SLC today at lunch. We’re trying to suss out the plot. I think Brian is a part of a secret cabal in charge of collecting and protecting the world’s most precious artifacts. He works closely with other SLCs in cities across the nation. To wit, Joe Mauer is in charge of the circulation desk at the St. Paul Metropolitan Library and Buster Posey would oversee the classics department at San Francisco’s central library. They’d all be part of the network. There’s always some caper involved, and perhaps a shadowy group bent on world domination.

Which is fortunate because we don’t have to face off very often. I don’t like having to make the Braves my enemy-of-the-week. I like them too much for that.
The Giants are the team I picked when I started watching baseball more than a year ago. They are my favorites.
The Braves happen to be on a lot where I live. I was indifferent until I started really watching and getting to know the team (some of whom I’d like to know much more personally). And it turns out they’re just as much fun to watch. Plus, the games come on at a reasonable hour in this time zone.
Fortunately, my humor — the same thing that saved me from many a trash can in high school — plays well here, too. It’s just a lot of fun. Most of the time.
I’m on the 7 year plan. And I’ve been in their band that long too (cheapest way for tickets) so that’s why I’ve self-proclaimed my band-geeked-ness. I’ll have to check out the MST3000 dvd sets. I definitely miss that show!

The Giants are the team I picked when I started watching baseball more than a year ago. They are my favorites.
The Braves happen to be on a lot where I live. I was indifferent until I started really watching and getting to know the team (some of whom I’d like to know much more personally). And it turns out they’re just as much fun to watch. Plus, the games come on at a reasonable hour in this time zone.
