From the Myrtle Beach game recap where J.J. Hoover once again dominated:
Since tweaking his mechanics before his May 7 start, Hoover has become one of the best pitchers in the Carolina League. Over his last six starts, Hoover has gone at least six innings in each outing, allowing just six runs in that span, good for an ERA of 1.36 (6 ER/39 2/3 IP). Over his last six appearances, Hoover has cut his ERA in half from 6.35 to 3.18, good for seventh in the Carolina League.
And he's struck out 33 while only walking 6 over that span. The Minor Leagues are for making adjustments, and it's great to see a smart young pitcher like Hoover making the changes he needs to make to be successful. Right now he's pitching as well as Teheran or Delgado, though not quite as good as Vizcaino... which is saying something.

cant forget about Oberholtzer
he has been pitching extremely solid of late after he made his adjustments to the Carolina league. Hopefully he pitches for them next time they swing through to play the Blue Rocks

Great news. I really am a fan of Hoover. I wonder if he’ll get a shot with the Braves or if he continues to pitch well, get traded for a bat.

Cool
I really liked him when they drafted him and I was always hoping that he would bring it all together and it seems he has.Congrats to him.

I got to watch some of that tweaking during BP on May 5th up in Woodbridge. Very neat stuff.

Seems to me that we have an abundance of good arms right now. The Braves have always focused on developing pitching. But are there any good hitters, aside from Freeman and Schafer, who may be ready in the next 2-3 years?

I think there’s a chance that guys like Myke Jones, Adam Milligan, RSF, and Robby Hefflinger could produce at higher levels and be possible major league pieces. Not sure about any of them being impact players yet, we’ll have to see how they fare at higher levels in the minors. Also, Brandon Hicks still has plenty of time to figure things out and contribute with his bat; we already know he can contribute with his glove.
