Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
I don’t suppose there’s any way to get this game on DirecTV is there…
swainzy - June 14, 2010
I don't know anything about DirecTV, but
you may be able to find a link on the net, since this game is being televised. Good luck.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
haven’t been able to find it anywhere. :(
rbravesfan - June 14, 2010
Durham has a solid lineup
Will be good test for JJ.
McLouth Maniac - June 14, 2010
No kidding
They are 1st in several categories.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
Another night...
hopefully another LA Galaxy win.
Scott Coleman - June 14, 2010
After tomorrow.. I will be..
The poster formally known as sidkotchman.. As there is a new sid that has came into my life…
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Details?
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
Let's just say.. I have the POWAH
It’s gonna be SidGlaus … Hope it doesn’t look like bandwagon jumping on.. Because I have backed Troy and his signing since day 1.. Lol and to think the guys in my fantasy league were laughing at me when I took him as my first baseman lol..
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
I was one of the few that was backing him also.
I watched him play in St and knew he had the ability to be a great hitter, and play some good D at first.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
His bat has been great
But seriously his defense at first has been awesome.. Ink him for 2 more years.. Freemans not ready IMHO.
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Yeah
FW, needs to be working on signing him Now!
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
The unvealing may have to wait till Wednesday.. As I am obligated to dinner at carabbas with the girlfriend tomorrow nite..by the way.. Anyone ever had their pizza? Love everything else.. But never tried their pizza in the bazillion times I have gone..
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Not me
but would think it wouldn’t disappoint you, everything I’ve eaten there was great.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
Me too.. Think I'll give it a try..
Still gonna have the calamari Ricardo ahhh :-)
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Hush you...
making me hungry…
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
I totally read that as “As there is a new std that has came into my life…”
I lol’d.
UMDBHIK - June 14, 2010
any idea what kind of limitations JJ will have tonight?
have to figure he’s on a pitch count at the very least
leedawg - June 14, 2010
I would imagine.. 60-80.
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
I just saw one of the biggest men I've ever seen
sitting in the stand behind the batters. He was Huge. Good shot camera man .
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
2 k's for JJ in the 1st
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
Not a bad 1st inning for JJ
leedawg - June 14, 2010
I agree
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
it seems safe to say that the only real "prospects" in Gwinnett
are Schafer and Freeman, as far as position players go
leedawg - June 14, 2010
Yeah.. Take 3rd baseball for example.. Chipper has to be Out.. Omar out.. Conrad out.. Until we call up a position player and then still it would probably be journeyman Joe thurston.. Who isn’t exactly a prospect anymore lol
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
*base
Damn iPhone finishing my
words for me..
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Our former GM , JS in the booth.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
where’s your counter-part?
no Choppah?!?!? It’s JJ!!!!!
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
Good ?
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
lol
oh-tay
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
On a side note about the g-braves game..
I thought I was going blind.. I thought my tv was broke.. But then I realized the camera man in center field was having milk and cookies and the milk glass was sitting in front of the camera.
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
lol what.....
atl192485 - June 14, 2010
Well it’s either that or he got some sunscreen on the lense..
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Seriously?
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
the camera is picking up the humidity
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
Yeah
What is causing it to look that way?
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
Heyward's running laps around the stadium
…..it’s a dust cloud, too
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
Haha
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
Lol good equipment doesn't do that..
But I’m not gonna gripe too much..how many times do you get to check out a minor league game on tv? Was really just trying to be funny lol..
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
lol. me too
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
back to back walks
that scares me
bflobraves - June 14, 2010
lol
2 out
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
he's lookin good, mane
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
mlb gameday says JJ is just missing low
does anyone have how fast JJ’s fastball is topping out on? gameday doesn’t have this information
atl192485 - June 14, 2010
I'll take missing low..
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
he's been making really good pitches
he’s ready
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
Hellickson reminds me a lot of Medlen. Similar build, similar delivery.
gondeee - June 14, 2010
Now that you mentioned it
he does.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
except Medlen’s subtle movements are more like a bird, somewhat. lol
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
a raptor, if you will…
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
He made Jones look bad just then.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
a little Smoltz magic......
"So these guys decide that they’re going bear hunting. They hit the road and eventually come to a fork in the road with a sign that reads, “Bear Left.”
So they all turn around and go home."
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
Hehe,
My dad told me that one a few years ago, He can beat Smoltze at coming up with corny jokes:)
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
This..
Haha this has been my sig quote since he said it…haha I never laughed so hard as when he said that…haha
bashby20sh - June 14, 2010
So it was interesting to see this..
Ned Yost tells USA Today’s Scott Boeck that in spite of Alex Gordon’s success at Triple-A, Gordon won’t be called back up to the majors until Kansas City can find an everyday space for him.
Anyone wanna swap resop for him?
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
How's JJ looking?
And any thoughts on what we should do when he makes it back into the rotation? I don’t think it would be smart to move Medlen with the way he has been pitching, maybe KK into the pen?
TrueBlueNoDoubt - June 14, 2010
sun got in Schafer’s eyes and he missed an out. the sun is brutal right now on the field.
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
JJ’s looking good, tho
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
Good to hear. Our rotation is gonna be even nastier once he finishes his rehab!
TrueBlueNoDoubt - June 14, 2010
If we have to move a SP to the pen.
I would send KK,. Maybe he would have better luck pitching out of the pen.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
That’s what I was thinking, but then I hear the argument about his salary? I say who cares how much we are paying him if he isn’t putting up W’s …
TrueBlueNoDoubt - June 14, 2010
Bobby will move Meds tho, but I agree. it’s getting ridiculous. he’ll be 0-9 soon
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
What's even more nauseating
This may sound wrong in a way.. But the 2 options with kk is the bull pen or leave him in the rotation..braves won’t cut ties with their first asian player until his contract is up.
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Truth
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
it’s really not his fault, tho. it’s just one of those things.
we’re in 1st, in teh closest division in baseball……and one of our STARTING PITCHERS is 0-9
it’s like a jinx-type-thing now. he’ll get a Win, but……jeez
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
Agreed but championship teams don't
Keep 0-9 pitchers in their rotations.. Just bad luck.. I like him.. And it sucks.. Just think it’s a big difference if he was 3-6.. We’d be what 4.5 games ahead of the mets?? Which he could be 5-4 with a little luck.. Just hasn’t gotten anyyyyy
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
agree .. i vote pen
TrueBlueNoDoubt - June 14, 2010
What happened Jordan?
I guess the sun blinded him for a second.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
compared to the rest of teh field, center looks like a tanning bed right now
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
JJ gets big strikeout. 4 strikeouts so far.
he can get out of this inning with only one run allowed. 1 out. 2 on
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
they are basically just hitting him good and i really dont like what i am seeing from JJ
bflobraves - June 14, 2010
almost turned DP. 2 out. still 2 on
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
This will be JJ's last inning
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
JJ walking in a run
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
i still grade it a B, for what it was. could have been worse. he missed a few, and was getting a little tired, but the stuff is coming back
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
Well JJ's gone
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
What’s his final line?
TrueBlueNoDoubt - June 14, 2010
66 pitches with 4 k's and several BB's and 2 runs
That’s all I remember.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
2.2 5 2 2 4 4 0 6.75
KoKo the Monkey (T-Bone) - June 14, 2010
Thanks
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
Thanks!
TrueBlueNoDoubt - June 14, 2010
So is 12 am June 15th or 12 am June 16th
D-day for resop?
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
What do you think is going to happen with him?
I keep hearing trade.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
Wondering if kc would take resop
For alex Gordon.. He’s still young and has potential.. But yost said despite his triple a performance he won’t be recalled this season.. His 2010 MLB line is deceiving with only 30
at bats..and we all know how kc covets braves prospects..
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
That and maybe the attitude in kc is so
Depressing that Gordon in a new home he could improve big time
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Interesting
I haven’t thought of Gordon. I think it would be a good option, if KC would do it.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
Resop could more than likely jump right in
To the rotation at kc..
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
You know he would.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
Also.. I think Gordon MLB career is deceiving
I mean he has been playing for kc.. They don’t have a prado, heyward, chipper, glaus, mcann lineup that Gordon could have been sandwiched into that alone I think would help him out tremendously and you would see great numbers out of him.. Jmho.
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
What About...
David DeJesus? Think the Braves have any interest in possibly trying to get him in a deal either now or before the deadline? He is a good hitting CF. Any thoughts?
bashby20sh - June 14, 2010
I feel he has some naturely good talent.
I don’t see him becoming a superstar center fielder, but he would definitely be a better option than the Atl version of Nate.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
his opt out date is tomorrow
So, I would think the Braves have to call him up before midnight tonight.
KoKo the Monkey (T-Bone) - June 14, 2010
When and if they do.
Who goes down?
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
I don't understand MLB transactions well enough
to be able to answer that question. Option counts (read: $$$) will probably play a role in the decision. If it were based solely on performance, I would say Chavez or Martinez.
KoKo the Monkey (T-Bone) - June 14, 2010
I was supper suprised Chavez made the team
after his horrible ST.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
He pitched alot of innings with the pirates
Last year and had a pretty low era.. 2 something.. He’s really just not been that on this year.
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Yeah,
I have been genuinely surprised that he has pitched as well as he has given his awful Spring. I’m sure the good numbers with the Pirates is what gave him the edge over Proctor. I thought for sure Proctor would make the team coming out of ST. I was wrong.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
39 strikes in 66 pitches
Chief Noc-A-Homa - June 14, 2010
Any other relief pitchers worth watching?
KoKo the Monkey (T-Bone) - June 14, 2010
I wonder when Hellboy makes it to Tampa Bay?
He looks nasty.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
Jones should have caught that ball, imo
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
DP
Mitch Jones is happy his bad play didn’t cost a run/
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
to the guy
who said the verducci effect was arbitrary based on the fact that JJ injured his leg. – wasn’t JJ putting up worse stats before that injury? wasnt there shoulder inflammation? i mean why keep meds in the rotation and even risk that?
MacsGlasses - June 14, 2010
In other news. Texas declined offer to join
The pac-10.. Good choice.. Now I wonder if Mike slive has something up his sleeve in bham especially with his recent visit to OK and Texas a&m..
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
I know wrong blog..
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
I read Texas A&M
may join the SEC. That put my hubby’s alumni against my alumni, not good for our marriage :)
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
I would welcome Texas a&m alot of history
There for them and Alabama..I would also encourage one or both of the following.. Asking auburn to leave the sec under a bylaw that states students & fans should restrain themselves from sexual advances onto livestock or face expulsion from the conference.. We all know the have skated around this particular rule.. Also asking Tennessee to just rocky top on outta here.. God how I hate that song…
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
I'm all for Auburn and TN to get the boot out of the SEC, not that it will ever happen.
I’m a Ga girl but live in Tn now. I get So sick of All the orange especially on game day. Auburn because my ex graduated from their Vet school. Alabama is OK, simply because my mom attended college there.
I agree I’d take A&M over most of the other colleges I’ve heard mentioned about joining the SEC.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
I would also take north carolina
From the acc.. Good basketball..and a growing football team.. The duke rivalry might be too strong for them to jolt from the acc though.. Heck take duke too.. Add a&m and southern miss to west .. Duke and nc to east.. Just fantasizing..
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
as much as i hate ‘em, i wouldn’t have minded clemson joining the east if a&m had joined the west. our history with the tigers is a lot richer than most of the teams in our conference, and the proximity to athens makes the rivalry that much more intense.
Bravely going forward - June 15, 2010
Don’t let the door hit you on the ass on the way out, Colorado and Nebraska.
UMDBHIK - June 14, 2010
We get a run
Now 2-1 in the 7th
Also Freddie Freeman got hit by pitch for the 2nd time in the game.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
Watching st Louis and Seattle on MLB.tv
On playstation.. Best invention ever.. Ichiro is one of the best ever IMHO.. Not my kind of player.. But wow.. He just continues to amaze me.. Pujols also left the game hit in the back of the head on throw to home.. He was down for a few but got back up to his feet.
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Nix that pujols left
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Ahh iPhone send button happy..
Nix pujols leaving the game.. He remained in. My mistake.
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
I didn’t know you could do that. I think my world has just changed forever.
telemakhos - June 14, 2010
They added the MLB.TV apparently on early April.

Cheer up.. Kawakami starts against David proce
Tomorrow nite.
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
I want a cookie
MBL1 - June 14, 2010 via mobile
That should be fun
If Liriano made us look bad, just wait and see what Price can do.
Scott Coleman - June 14, 2010
unlike liriano’s stats that didn’t do him justice, I think price is pitching over his head. He has stranded something like 81% of base runners and his xFIP is 4.38
telemakhos - June 14, 2010
WHY!!!!!!
Why aren’t we skipping him?! We had an effing off-day…..
Perfect to reset your rotation and skip your points of exposure!
We don’t need him, and 5 days from now, we’ll be one Jair start closer to being able to dump him into the pen.
flyers13 - June 15, 2010
This upcoming series should be exciting.
1st place teams playing against each other. We should see some close games. I just hope we end up on the winning side of Alll of them:)
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
Albert Pujols
might be good one day.
Scott Coleman - June 14, 2010
he's also one of the few players
who’d i’d consider the true home run king besides Aaron.
Scott Coleman - June 14, 2010
I would probably freak out if someone broke Hammer’s record. (yeah, yeah, Barry Bonds broke it but he doesn’t count, there’s too much controversy with the steroids issue) i want that record to stand.
MBL1 - June 14, 2010 via mobile
also, A-Rod could break it but he doesn't count also
Kobe:The Legend - June 15, 2010
MiLB.com
says JJ was ‘chased’. is that true? or did he just get to a pc limit?
GoBravesNY - June 14, 2010
Heyward came and chased him around the field and JJ got so freaked he passed out
MBL1 - June 14, 2010 via mobile
I’m not kidding…
GoBravesNY - June 14, 2010
can you give me the link to the article or whatever about him being “chased”?

Hmmm….i think he had a pitch count, though

I’ll see what the AJC says about it

Dang
nothin
MBL1 - June 14, 2010 via mobile
and you’re surprised??
GoBravesNY - June 14, 2010
not really, TC and MLB.com may be the only places where i can get good Braves news
MBL1 - June 14, 2010 via mobile
give DOB credit, he breaks Braves news. the rest is crap
GoBravesNY - June 14, 2010
Yea DOB is good but i mostly come here for Braves news.
MBL1 - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Brian Jordans comments chased me..
No kk was not chased.. Little shaky 4k’s I believe a couple of walks..but he had a pitch count and you have to remember these words when it comes to an appearance of this nature.. Rehab assignment.
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Haha I said kk.. Hahahaha
Ohhhh meeeee
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
GoBravesNY - June 14, 2010
Game tied in the 8th 2-2
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
Remember when all the "experts" picked Seattle to win the West
and how much of a genius their new GM was?
Funny, I don’t hear that much more. Defense is essential to winning, but so is hitting the damn baseball. I think they forgot that.
Scott Coleman - June 14, 2010
The poor, Ken Griffey-less Mariners….
MBL1 - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Remember when all the “experts” picked the Phillies to have the divizion locked up by April 10th?

2 new Heywardisms for the night (taken from the Dos Equis commercial)
“If Jason Heyward hit you in the face, you would have to fight the urge to not say thank you.”
“Sharks have a week dedicated to Jason Heyward.”
Scott Coleman - June 14, 2010
I love the second one
GoBravesNY - June 14, 2010
New sig time?
You got it!
Scott Coleman - June 14, 2010
Jason Heyward counted to infinity.twice. He was counting his homeruns.
MBL1 - June 14, 2010 via mobile
second one got me.. hahaha
BMacAttack - June 15, 2010
If the Padres lose tonight
we’re tied for the best record in the NL.
Scott Coleman - June 14, 2010
Padres have been doing really well this season. So have we, but the Padres are more of a surprise
MBL1 - June 14, 2010 via mobile
Freddie leads of the 8th with a single.
Let’s take the lead this inning.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010

Thought this was neat..
Heard on another blog that Nick Saban has become a fan of the Atlanta braves since he came to Alabama in 2007.. He has actually frequented alot of games while recruiting the Atlanta area.. Said to make a trip to atl this weekend.. Can only help to have a champion there.
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
I saw him in the front row at one of our home games.
HEYJUDE - June 14, 2010
I love it :-) lol
SidKotchman - June 14, 2010 via mobile
