If it's Monday, then it's the Atlanta Braves fan confidence poll. As always, this poll and therefore your confidence level should encompasses several areas of the team. These areas include, but are not limited to, the team’s ownership, current management, talent, minor-league system, and general playing ability on the field. The poll will stay open for 48 hours, and then the results will be posted and graphed against the previous weeks.

Frozen Fan - May 31, 2010
Not in the United States
They don’t have citizenship.
Bronn - May 31, 2010
Since when has legal citizenship stopped anyone from enjoying the full benifits of being an American citizen? (On next weeks poll results I’ll discuss politics, religion and abortion rights.)

We need a owner not a Corporation looking to profit first
This has to be be the all the band wagon fans here. The Braves have a horrible organization and it is the only team owner by a corporation in the League. They constantly bring in recovering injury players cheap or over the heal veterans cheap. They got bailed out by drafting Hayward and Hanson. I have not forgot the last 5 years of trimming payroll and allowing studs to walk away from Atlanta but offering contracts far below what the player is actually going to get so that they look like they are trying when in fact they are only trying to cut payroll so the executives can divide the profit and laugh at the fans of Atlanta for accepting this garbage. The 4 week roll has been great but Atlanta needs a real owner who wants to win first. Cox has to go and he will thank god this year and I will miss him dearly but he is not as sharp as he once was. Finally if you gave this organization over a 5 you are not very bright or a very avid fan. We have traded away great players for less than nothing and let Texierra walk away, and much much more so pray that Hayward is sent from God and that his energy can ignite the veterans and cause the younger players to hustle more and play winning baseball more because if your not doing that when Hayward is on the field then you are looking like a complete fool because Hayward is hands down the best baseball player at 20 that this league has ever seen and he will win triple crowns and championships but watch closely because they Braves should offer a ten year deal right now for 100 million but they will penny pinch and pay him what his contract says for 3 or 4 years and at the last second they will try to compete with the Yankees and Red Sox for his services in free agency but will loose miserably. The Braves have to sign him now to a decade long contract and start paying him rather than risk being cheap and waiting. Massive Braves fan but also not fooled by the smoke and mirror corporation that owns the Braves right now.

If one million monkeys typing on one million typewriters will eventually transcribe the works of Shakespeare
This must be like day 3.
Bronn - May 31, 2010
Who is this Hayward player you speak of?
Jason Heyward is good and worth signing for years to come. Why waste $ on some Hayward guy we’ve never heard of?!?
Avid fan you say, but can’t spell our 20 yr old young phenom’s name?!?
HEYJUDE - May 31, 2010
lol
The saddest part of this post is that this guy obviously spent so long on it.
Jacob Peterson - May 31, 2010
It’s amusing that he calls Liberty Media a “smoke and mirror” corporation. A television outlet called a “smoke and mirror” corporation is actually a poignantly brilliant comparison (maybe even revealing as a social commentary), though he’s not referring to that at all. His issue is obviously more with management than ownership, though he has little idea how management even operates.

If I were more mean-spirit, this would be my new sig.

ummm

Oh my god…that’s a big one.
(TWSS. Like I was gonna let you kids get that one)
Scott Coleman - May 31, 2010
There's so much intended irony
“Pray that Heyward is sent from God,” “if your not then you are looking like a complete fool” (awesome)
“he will win triple crowns and championships but…the Braves should offer a ten year deal for 100 million” (What’s with the but…you mean despite the fact that he’s a great ballplayer, the Braves still need to extend him?)
“They will pay him what his contract says” (Who ever paid a player more or less than his contract?)
Bronn - May 31, 2010
Hmmm,...
10/100 doesn’t sound like a bad idea right about now. He’d probably earn every penny.

THIS
Sentence deserves CAPSLOCK to accentuate all its wonderful points that we should all be aware of.
Seriously, this is the sort of thing I’d write on CAPSLOCK FRIDAY. I applaud the omission of punctuation and its overall lack of substance.

To be perfectly honest I miss Ted Turner. But our “evil board of directers” seem to run a hell of a lot better team than the “fan owners” of Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Cleveland(Mistake by the lake), and others…

9!
After voting 5 last week, I am upping that shizznit to a 9 after the Phillies-Braves game!!!
mastermike - May 31, 2010
My first 9!
“‘Niner’…nice touch.” – The Monarch
I was hovering around 7 for a couple of weeks, then up to an 8 last time out. This week a 9 seems warranted.

With Julio Teheran striking out 14 in 8 innings
The real question is what the 10s are waiting for.
Bronn - May 31, 2010
I voted
Before I knew that.
Put me down for a 9.5
