I coached/played my unit to the base championship last season. The season starts up again in 2 weeks, but I will be at CST living the Army life before going to Afghanistan.
I fired M-16 for the first time ever today – shot a 38. 10 of my 12 “misses” were in the waist. I was kinda pissed at myself. All but one of my misses were shot at the 300 yard targets.
Softer, but that didn’t stop one from splitting my finger open tonight. I play SS, and I slapped down on a hard ground ball (quicker release for me to try to catch and throw all in one motion), and the ball hit me square on the tip of the finger right on my freshly cut fingernails.
Seriously though. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Glaus was hitting the ball better than anyone – and I mean ANYONE – to inlcude the Rookie.
The Rook was making more contact, but Glaus was hitting lazers all over the place.
We can’t bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell ‘em stories that don’t go anywhere – like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. Softer, but that didn’t stop one from splitting my finger open tonight. I play SS, and I slapped down on a hard ground ball (quicker release for me to try to catch and throw all in one motion), and the ball hit me square on the tip of the finger right on my freshly cut fingernails.
