I can't believe we're getting this one in today. BMac started us off with a 2-run HR. Marteeen Prado is a man on a mission. And the Dragon Slayer looks good so far.
Oh, haven’t seen the sandwich one. Those “inside deal” ads are annoying as hell, can’t these bastards read the menu?
Though I’m interested in these sandwiches, there used to be this little Mexican place near my house that made these awesome sandwich’s with fried steak and egg.
This is the thing with Kawakami, he’ll have a 3-4 inning stretch where he looks dominate, and he’ll look like a minor league pitcher for a couple of innings.
Bmac 2 run jack in the first, Lincecum then shuts us down.
Last inning, runners on 1 and 2, DeRosa slaps one to right. Heyward’s throw is off line, takes a weird hop after bouncing off of the runner at home, next guy scores…KK was dealing, too.
BMac took him deep early but then we played defense like a tball team and they took the lead. that’s all lincecom has needed so far. Waste of a good outing by KK, but whats new
SF Giants Announcers love Melky. “He’s the greatest .120 hitter I’ve ever seen. I was shocked when I saw his numbers. All of his at bats have been good ones.”
If you’re a braves fan you’re just not used to seeing clutch hitting in important spots for the last couple of years. We used to be able to do that too.
Disagree. The Giants’ runs came from our errors. We’d be tied and still in the game if those runs are out of the picture. I don’t think “tied” is being shut down.
I’m not that someone. However, I do think we did more to help lose this game than the Giants did to win it.
I believe our offense kept us close until the defense (and pitching in the end) let us down.
Definitely. Haha I go to a “party school” and it’s definitely possible to have just as much fun as people who get schwasted… and you actually can remember what happened.
in my 2 years as a teacher i’ve realized what is wrong with this country (partially), and it’s parenting—or lack thereof. most new parents these days have no business having children, and are more interested in being “cool” and friendly with their children rather than teaching them values and consequences. it’s pretty tragic.
IDK… I’ve been a Dukie all my life. And I can Honestly consider myself a legitimate Duke football fan. I just could never muster up the courage to cheer and follow another school. maybe it’s me.
i think Kawakami has had the worst luck losses by any player the past two years (IMO)
also, isn’t it funny how before the broadcast that say " the braves pitching has stopped sandoval, huff, and derosa this series" and then those three players dominate the game and do all the damage. Funny how that happens sometimes
Maybe it’s just because I grew up in San Francisco and had to endure a lot of crap as a Braves fan therein, but PacBell/AT&T Park really seems to be a house of horrors for the Braves.
Rowand’s interference on McCann, the errant throw hitting Sandoval (although he’s large enough that I’m not sure where Heyward could’ve thrown it and missed him…), that time a few years ago that Gryboski allowed a walk-off walk. Okay, need to stop, it’s getting too depressing.
these professional athletes have NOTHING to complain about. they live a charmed life in which they get to play a GAME for hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars, admired by millions, to boot.
First?
Gotta love when your 2 and 3 hitters have over .500 averages!

NCChopper - April 11, 2010
haha this
kreese555 - April 11, 2010
He’s going to be around 100 pitches by the end of six innings…
I’d say that’s definitely doable.
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
Oh good, Rickie Weeks HRed
Got him in fantasy, and he was a friggin steal.
Bronn - April 11, 2010
guy never seems to stay healthy
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
I drafted Howie Kendrick as his back-up, I think I’m solid.
Bronn - April 11, 2010
I like Kendrick a lot, nice work sir.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
ha, same could be said for him…but between the two of them you should be good
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
It bothers me that there’s another shortstop named Escobar in the league, though.
Bronn - April 11, 2010
He's 2-2 with 2 runs scored and a HR
fphjr01 - April 11, 2010
Let's win this. I've hated the Giants since WE were in the *NL West*
FalconUdean - April 11, 2010
Me too, even more so now that I'm in semi-Giants territory.
AllSaintsDay - April 11, 2010
I think we need to win 104 games this year to celebrate that fact.
Bronn - April 11, 2010
lol
FalconUdean - April 11, 2010
Hi gang
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
howdy
Cracker! - April 11, 2010
I love your name.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
Thank you, Justin.
Been keepin’ up with our boy, KJ?
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
He is hanging with prado with better power numbers – just as I have always said!
:)
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
hey, no need to convince me
I still have that KJ train jpeg on tap
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
ello
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
Who would wanna watch a Warriors game anyway?
a hooter's baby - April 11, 2010
I could. They're fun to watch.
Duff_Man - April 11, 2010
They’re no Atlanta Hawks
a hooter's baby - April 11, 2010
I don't know, Stephen Curry is a great player.
TennesseeQuackAttack8 - April 11, 2010
Anyone who thinks Steph Curry should beat Tyreke Evans for ROY is f*cking nuts.
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010 via mobile
Evans is ridiculous. Gonna have a 20-5-5 average line for the year. What a rook.
But Curry sure came one strong, but I think it’s Evans’.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
Love my Kings. I miss Bibby in his prime :(
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010 via mobile
Davidson ppl
romone_braves91 - April 11, 2010
Shallow pop-up for first out.
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
How many 1 pitch AB's is that tonight?
fphjr01 - April 11, 2010
3, I think.
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
I don't know...22?
kreese555 - April 11, 2010
Kawakami
is in the zone right now. I haven’t seen him this good since that Yankee game last year when he got injured.
AlabamaTitans2009 - April 11, 2010
That was a great performance.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
my favorite KK performance

Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010

Bronn - April 11, 2010
Just missed that one.
bravos1984 - April 11, 2010
FTW a triple?
vooodooo - April 11, 2010
For a fat man, dude runs pretty well.
UMDBHIK - April 11, 2010
He saw a burrito on 3rd.
TennesseeQuackAttack8 - April 11, 2010
oh well ...
FrankyWren - April 11, 2010
Which is greater weight?
Lincecum + Velez or KF Panda
FalconUdean - April 11, 2010
Panda…
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
It’s sad that “Kung-Fu Panda” is like the last real nickname in baseball.
They call Lincecum “The Freak,” but that’s just a rip-off of Jevon Kearse.
Bronn - April 11, 2010
Yeah, He’s pretty quick for a big man
JKowalek - April 11, 2010
Horrible pitch
MatM - April 11, 2010
Run Teletubby, run!
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010 via mobile
I lol’d.
UMDBHIK - April 11, 2010
The perfect game and no no come to an end. Thankfully, that thing stayed in teh park!
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
Heyward didn't play that well.
Duff_Man - April 11, 2010
Maybe trying to play a carom? I have no idea…
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
I think, he thought it was gone.
Didn’t adjust well.
NCChopper - April 11, 2010
Those bricks can produce some funny re-directions
bravos1984 - April 11, 2010
It did look like it was going out. Also, it was too wet for him to charge at the wall full speed – too much injury risk.
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
first time in the stadium, but yeah
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
well, it bounced off two walls.
10-4 - April 11, 2010
Just felt an earthquake in Nashville.
First time those words have ever found themselves in that order.
kreese555 - April 11, 2010
those being "Heward didn't play that well"
kreese555 - April 11, 2010
I haven't felt it in Knoxville.
TennesseeQuackAttack8 - April 11, 2010
TQA8!!!
Fancy meeting you here.
AllSaintsDay - April 11, 2010
Hola!
Felt like I should jump in.
TennesseeQuackAttack8 - April 11, 2010
Sarcasm (shhhh go with it)
kreese555 - April 11, 2010
What was Heyward doing out there?
Ron A. - April 11, 2010
looked like he gave up on it ... to be fair, I thought it was gone too (then again, I'm not there)
FrankyWren - April 11, 2010
I think he thought it was hitting the bricks>
JKowalek - April 11, 2010
Apparently he was thinking it was going to bounce of the brick wall.
Gage23 - April 11, 2010
faaaaaaaaaaaack
dc_allday - April 11, 2010
stupid fucking shift
bpk228480 - April 11, 2010
yeah ... about that
burned them pretty bad. no one near the ball.
FrankyWren - April 11, 2010
Hey guys
lets shift and pitch him away
Cracker! - April 11, 2010
this
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
Bad part about it – he did the exact same thing to us before in this series when we put the shift on.
NCChopper - April 11, 2010
Damn't! Giants score.
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
Crapola.
Duff_Man - April 11, 2010
Shift = FAIL.
NCChopper - April 11, 2010
That’s why the shift is over-rated.
bravos1984 - April 11, 2010
Damnit.
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010 via mobile
Random Baseball Question?
If KK would have pitched a perfect game through 5 and the game was called for rain would that have counted?
romone_braves91 - April 11, 2010
No, by definition it has to be 9 innings.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
I think no.
eavchuck - April 11, 2010
Wouldn't be an offical perfect game, no.
Bronn - April 11, 2010
Just in our hearts.
McCann and McWill - April 11, 2010
It might end up as a footnote in record books, or show up with an asterisk or something.
Bronn - April 11, 2010
That’s what i was thinking.
romone_braves91 - April 11, 2010
Shift bites us in the butt.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
Dammit
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
Aubrey Huff RBI single.
In consolation, his name still sounds like a beautiful supermodel’s.
TennesseeQuackAttack8 - April 11, 2010
Why shift when you are pitching him outside
BRaves1 - April 11, 2010
this
Cracker! - April 11, 2010
Language barrier.
Couldn’t tell Kawakami the shift was on. At least that’s my guess.
FalconUdean - April 11, 2010
haha
There is no way that is what the problem was
Texastriplecrown - April 11, 2010
lol
You have your facts. I have my unshakeable faith in the braves.
FalconUdean - April 11, 2010
He probably missed the target.
bravos1984 - April 11, 2010
this
FrankyWren - April 11, 2010
He set up outside
BRaves1 - April 11, 2010
because where the catcher sets up is always the target ...
FrankyWren - April 11, 2010
umm he put his glove outside and he hit it
what a coincidince
BRaves1 - April 11, 2010
maybe the placement wasn't intentional
FrankyWren - April 11, 2010
Good call FUPA.
10-4 - April 11, 2010
other then that
KK looks solid
Erihury - April 11, 2010
I like Panda a lot; he hustles.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
Yeah, the shift is a bad move with a RISP.
Lennox - April 11, 2010
boo shift
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
Settle down, KK.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
3rd out!
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
On the bright side...
They’ve only scored half as much as us.
FalconUdean - April 11, 2010
i like your positivity
Cracker! - April 11, 2010
OK. Lets go get it back .
JKowalek - April 11, 2010
Technically, a fastball low and outside on a pull hitter is usually
bounced to the right side. Huff just went with the pitch.
kreese555 - April 11, 2010
So I'd say Huff beat the shift, not necessarily the pitch
kreese555 - April 11, 2010
I still can’t believe Kung-fu Panda got a triple…
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
Yeah, I didn't see that comin'.
HEYJUDE - April 11, 2010
He’s pretty quick. I saw a thing about his diet on MLB Network over the winter and they talked about his qickness.
JKowalek - April 11, 2010
Giants fans rather frisky today
With all that boo-ing.
Bronn - April 11, 2010

TennesseeQuackAttack8 - April 11, 2010
The ones in between…not so much.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
i'll be in and out of the discussion

Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010

Let's go
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010 via mobile
That ball was not well-hit, just a little dribble to an empty 80 foot span of infield.
eavchuck - April 11, 2010
Still only 44 pitches for KK
bravos1984 - April 11, 2010
That is really good news.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
Let's go get some more runs
Professor Snape hasn’t been that great tonight.

Jose Rodriguez - April 11, 2010
It is a really good thing when we are pissed that our SP only gives up 1 run in 4 innings..
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
And our 5th SP at that!
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
Wait… D. Lowe isn’t pitching tonight…. :-p
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
lol nice
romone_braves91 - April 11, 2010

EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
ugh
romone_braves91 - April 11, 2010
knock on wood!
kreese555 - April 11, 2010
4 innings of perfect ball. That’s kinda good I guess.
romone_braves91 - April 11, 2010
What a revelation!
You mean a baseball player wants to win the World Series? That’s unpossible!
UMDBHIK - April 11, 2010
Thank you, Ralph
kreese555 - April 11, 2010
KK making em work
bravos1984 - April 11, 2010

Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
1 so far I believe.
NCChopper - April 11, 2010
Didn’t it sound like he said Holly Johnson when he was talking about KJ?
JKowalek - April 11, 2010
Keep him working, KK
FalconUdean - April 11, 2010
KK is making Lincecum WORK right now.
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010

dc_allday - April 11, 2010
KK screwing himself into the ground
bravos1984 - April 11, 2010
I remember last year when an opposing team's announcer pronounced KK's name as "Kaw-ak-a-kak-ami"
I think it was an AL team. Hilarious.
TennesseeQuackAttack8 - April 11, 2010
Well, he made him work. I’ll take that AB by a pitcher, TBH.
Gage23 - April 11, 2010
The the leadoff man makes a 1 pitch out.
bravos1984 - April 11, 2010
lol
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
Ok, is it just me or is the Taco Bell guy at least as annoying as Luke Wilson?
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
What Taco Bell guy?
Lennox - April 11, 2010
The one in the “It’s not a sandwich” and the “Is stacey working? I’d really like to order from her” commercials.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
not as bad as luke
JKowalek - April 11, 2010
Because thats exactly who works in my Taco Bell…….
10-4 - April 11, 2010
huh?
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
Burrito in that commercial=5 kilos of Columbian bam-bam.
That’s the “special deal”.
TennesseeQuackAttack8 - April 11, 2010
Oh, haven’t seen the sandwich one. Those “inside deal” ads are annoying as hell, can’t these bastards read the menu?
Though I’m interested in these sandwiches, there used to be this little Mexican place near my house that made these awesome sandwich’s with fried steak and egg.
Lennox - April 11, 2010
The one that asks for the same cashier?
JKowalek - April 11, 2010
So, are Moylan/Saito/Wagner available tonight?

dc_allday - April 11, 2010
Probably not Saito, but Moylan/Wags should be.

Best rock band ever.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
i wouldn't go that far...
but they’re pretty cool
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
Slash is the poster-child for Rock. Axel is an idiot, but it really doesn’t get better than classic GnR
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
but without Axl,
we would’ve had Slash’s Snakepit….
not a good thing.
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
"the money lies in the RBIs"
STFU, giants announcers
atl192485 - April 11, 2010
Haha
Apparently that’s what Jeff kent told some kids in a baseball clinic earlier.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
what, to STFU?
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
Wish Melky would have been a bit more patient there.
NCChopper - April 11, 2010

romone_braves91 - April 11, 2010
HAHA
JKowalek - April 11, 2010

FrankyWren - April 11, 2010
Dangit, why is Melky all of a sudden trigger-happy?
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
I really am not a fan of the guy
MatM - April 11, 2010
I think it's safe to say we still have a ? at the top of our lineup
kreese555 - April 11, 2010
Not at all. Nate and Melky are 7th and 8th respectively in pitches per plate appearance in all of MLB.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
You still gotta get on base tho.

That’s what she wanted to say.
NCChopper - April 11, 2010
That’s a Maddux-like pitch count.
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
i was just about to write that. nice
romone_braves91 - April 11, 2010
I recall a game in maybe 94 or 95…..Maddux threw an 81 pitch CG against the Giants in San Fran at Candlestick.
Dude was unhittable that day.
UMDBHIK - April 11, 2010
How many K’s? That’s… absolutely ridiculous.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
Wasn’t there a 78 pitch CG by Maddox once?
bighop - April 11, 2010
infield really slowing some balls down i think
dc_allday - April 11, 2010
Bring on the rain!
Ron A. - April 11, 2010
Man McDowell has helped KK to get those groundballs with his Two Seamer. Awesome
romone_braves91 - April 11, 2010
51 pitches = amazing so far.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
Now, Run(s) please.

KFC starts murdering ppl with their new sandwich tomorrow…Can’t say I wont try one
a hooter's baby - April 11, 2010
I almost freaked out at the commercial. Chicken instead of bread? Count me in!
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
Can you even call it a sandwich?
Gage23 - April 11, 2010
It’s “breaded” chicken?
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
Haha, nice.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
It’s low carb!
Lennox - April 11, 2010
No idea what you’re talking about but this was pretty funny to me.
UMDBHIK - April 11, 2010
Basically:
Chicken
Bacon
Cheese
Chicken
That’s your sandwich.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
Sounds tasty.
UMDBHIK - April 11, 2010
just google KFC double down
a hooter's baby - April 11, 2010
Honestly, is there someone here that is never going to try it?
JKowalek - April 11, 2010
Me.
Jose Rodriguez - April 11, 2010
I might not. I only get KFC rarely, just to check it's still inferior to Popeye's.
AllSaintsDay - April 11, 2010
I wouldn’t know, I’m a northerner.
JKowalek - April 11, 2010
There are Popeye’s in the north…
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
Popeye’s baskets = win.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
Where? Not in PA. Maybe philly? But if I’m there it’s a cheesesteak.
JKowalek - April 11, 2010
There are Popeye’s in PA….I should know – I lived there.
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
Continue….
JKowalek - April 11, 2010
I’m pretty sure theres one in Chester when I went to Widener
bpk228480 - April 11, 2010
Yeah, I’m in Scranton. Maybe ill make a trip and visit some on my friends at Widener and get me some Popeyes.
JKowalek - April 11, 2010
None in Philly. A guy I know from there was excited as hell to get some in Lincoln because the one there closed.
AllSaintsDay - April 11, 2010
Well, the Popeye's website says otherwise, so...
…I dunno.
AllSaintsDay - April 11, 2010
Yes.
KFC is vastly inferior to Popeye’s.
Also, Bojangle’s…
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
Yes Bojangles! the best fries
a hooter's baby - April 11, 2010
never heard of bojangles
but i contest that Checkers/Rallys has the best fries!
and Popeye’s rules KFC
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
Bojangles is the shizz.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
You’re only supposed to eat breakfast at Bojangles. The Cajun Chicken Biscuit, seasoned fries, and sweet tea is the best combination…. heavenly.
Gage23 - April 11, 2010
Not when they got all you can eat wednesday
Mr. Sanchez - April 11, 2010
haha, the fried chicken debate shows up yet again
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
Nobody's got Church's?
I’ll take Bojangles for biscuits, Popeyes for lunch/dinner
Mr. Sanchez - April 11, 2010
Eh...
Church’s is not as good.
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
Never had it, I was just throwing it out there
Mr. Sanchez - April 11, 2010
Church’s chicken slips out of my hand, so much grease.
a hooter's baby - April 11, 2010
Definitely not healthy though. Haha.
No telling how much fat or calories…
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
I rarely gain weight, so I’m good.
Jose Rodriguez - April 11, 2010
KFC estimates it at about 600 calories 31g of fat.
Lennox - April 11, 2010
Thanks. I’d probably still give it a go.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010

this has probably been talked about already but...
…with Chipper out why doesn’t Cox put Glaus at third and Odarp at first. I know Glaus is off today, but still wanna know your thoughts

Nope. Only if it’s intentional.

yes
he def threw his leg up at the end, if that’s not intentional, I don’t know what is
FrankyWren - April 11, 2010
This is the thing with Kawakami, he’ll have a 3-4 inning stretch where he looks dominate, and he’ll look like a minor league pitcher for a couple of innings.

Dawg013 - April 11, 2010
it happens
i hate when i hit “post” after i’ve realized a mistake
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
or the ump could have called it intentional (because it clearly was)
FrankyWren - April 11, 2010
It should’ve been a game-tying single at worst. Not all his fault. Strange play.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
Mccann just sucked it. I don't think KK fell apart at all. He has only given up 2 runs
BravesFanScout - April 11, 2010
Well now the Freak has a lead…
bravos1984 - April 11, 2010
why in the hell didn't mccann try to block that ball... that was awful
BravesFanScout - April 11, 2010
Wondering that too.
JKowalek - April 11, 2010
I think you guys are underestimating just how bad of a throw it was …
Lennox - April 11, 2010
It was a pretty lame throw…like a 3rd of the way up the line.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
oh yeah it was a shitty throw too, but mccann made it way worse by jabbing at it instead of blocking it
BravesFanScout - April 11, 2010
also he was looking towards 3rd before the ball got there
Skyagusta - April 11, 2010
Block it? Like, dive in front of the ball and risk it bouncing back out to the middle of the infield, thus allowing another run to score?
If the ball doesn’t hit the runner, it bounces right to the pitcher who is backing up the play.
Lennox - April 11, 2010
He did, it went under his glove, wet turf and all that.
Lennox - April 11, 2010
balk?
FrankyWren - April 11, 2010
Nobody on.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
ahh ... yes
FrankyWren - April 11, 2010
no runners
bravos1984 - April 11, 2010
yeah ... about that
FrankyWren - April 11, 2010
Technically you can balk with no one on.
If it is deemed an attempt to deceive the batter, then a ball is awarded to the hitter. But clearly, that wasn’t the case.
kreese555 - April 11, 2010

Lincecum better enjoy those Cy Youngs….he aint winning another one as long as Halladay is in the NL…dude is amazing
JadedMayberry - April 11, 2010
I’d take Tim over Roy.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
if they were both the same age I’d probably take Roy. close call though
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
Yeah, I am talking about right now though. Roy in his prime is hard to beat…maybe Pedro in his prime, but for now, I take Tim over just about anyone.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
Pedro in his prime is legendary stuff
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010

1. Pedro
2. Gooden
3. Randy Johnson
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
4. Maddux
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
Maddux was all about location. These other guys were just straight nasty.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
Maddux > All
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
to me, the greatest
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
I'm too young to have watched Doc in his prime,
but I’d take Pedro
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
Probably Pedro
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
oh god
he pitched well against the Natinals and Astros. Who cares.
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010
lol and lincecum pitched well against the astros and braves…who cares
bpk228480 - April 11, 2010
Are you discounting the fact he was the best pitcher in the AL the last 4 years or so as well??
JadedMayberry - April 11, 2010
i never said i did
I’m just laughing at the fact everyone is drooling over his first 2 starts against the Nats and Astros.
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010
Lincecum’s at 100 pitches… when’s the pitcher spot due up for them? Soon, right?
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
they should put that joakim guy in again
dc_allday - April 11, 2010
Nate on deck.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
I think they said Conrad is due up next for the pitcher
mwchipper - April 11, 2010
Sorry, Giants announcers got me. It’s Conrad.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
Infante is wearing Lincecum out...
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010

Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
I think the Prado double just pissed him off.
Lennox - April 11, 2010
That was ugly
Dawg013 - April 11, 2010
108 pitches, he’s gotta be done
MatM - April 11, 2010

Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
And we have a series with the Fathers next...
kreese555 - April 11, 2010
Heyward gets one more AB at least
fphjr01 - April 11, 2010
excuse me if i'm not exactly tickled
he’s not exactly a lock for a hit
yet.
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
Not sure I want to see that based on his other ABs tonight…
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010

hopefully he won’t be facing timmay

out after only 65 pitches, wouldve liked to see him go more
atl192485 - April 11, 2010
KK got robbed.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
He couldn’t have looked worse at the plate than Brooks.
NCChopper - April 11, 2010
Hindsight……isn’t it a beautiful thing?
UMDBHIK - April 11, 2010
One of my many superpowers. ;-)
NCChopper - April 11, 2010
Not when his spot is up down a run in the 7th.
UMDBHIK - April 11, 2010
Hey all, just got in. anyone want to fill me in?
GoBravesNY - April 11, 2010
pablo sandoval's fat, lucky ass - 3, brian mccann - 2
atl192485 - April 11, 2010
haha
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
KK pitched great, offense failed him yet again.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
And our defense did too in a way. The triple (that should have been held to a double) and the three-stooges debacle that allowed them to plate 2.
NCChopper - April 11, 2010
Heyward has had a rough night for sure.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
And then Melky caught what looked like a double, which saved a run from scoring, so it events out.
KK was getting hit pretty hard the last couple of innings.
Lennox - April 11, 2010
Bmac 2 run jack in the first, Lincecum then shuts us down.
Last inning, runners on 1 and 2, DeRosa slaps one to right. Heyward’s throw is off line, takes a weird hop after bouncing off of the runner at home, next guy scores…KK was dealing, too.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
wasn’t a weird hop, it hit pablo sandoval when he was crossing the plate when he lifted up his back leg
atl192485 - April 11, 2010
My bad. Looked like it on my feed (which isn’t great). I can tell it hit Pablo but then I lost track of it.
ATLforlife - April 11, 2010
Kung-fu Panda was being selective on playing rules from kick ball. He got to kick the baseball, but he wasn’t out when it hit him.
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
Lincecom is a beast
BMac took him deep early but then we played defense like a tball team and they took the lead. that’s all lincecom has needed so far. Waste of a good outing by KK, but whats new
mwchipper - April 11, 2010
So far I haven't heard anyone was warming up in the giants pen.
Pitcher spot due up soon
FalconUdean - April 11, 2010

Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010
I really hate the Giants
fans, who think everything is a strike if Timmy throws it
schlagdawg - April 11, 2010
Which is apparently a phenomenon unique to them and no other teams’ fans do this.
UMDBHIK - April 11, 2010
lol
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
true
i just can’t stand any of their players. Uribe, Sandoval, Fred Lewis (when he was on the team), Lincecum, Molina, etc.
Only guy I kinda like is Cain, but we never face him.
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010
Bonds
Skyagusta - April 11, 2010

UMDBHIK - April 11, 2010

I just hear everyone else talking about him

EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010

can’t we just give Tim Lincecum some credit? He shut us down, sans 1st inning.
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
He's dirty. Screw Halladay. Best pitcher in the majors, by far.
TennesseeQuackAttack8 - April 11, 2010
that’s really what it comes down to
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
Truth.
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010
Disagree. The Giants’ runs came from our errors. We’d be tied and still in the game if those runs are out of the picture. I don’t think “tied” is being shut down.
Gage23 - April 11, 2010
This!!
HEYJUDE - April 11, 2010
well if we got 2 runs in the first,
we should have been able to conjure up at least a couple more throughout the course of the game. scoring 2 runs rarely wins you a game in MLB
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
That’s all SF would’ve scored if it weren’t for our errors, so the same could be said of their offense.
Gage23 - April 11, 2010

Timmy did not look great the first couple of innings.
HEYJUDE - April 11, 2010

Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
Did you have on blinders?
KK out pitched Timmy the first 5 innings, then our BP and errors cost us.
HEYJUDE - April 11, 2010
THIS!
KK seriously out-pitched Lincecum. That is not even debatable.
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
i didn't have blinders
i just know that over the course of a baseball game, stuff happens, and 2 runs is rarely enough to win. jeez!
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
how dare you question them!
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
I’m not that someone. However, I do think we did more to help lose this game than the Giants did to win it.
I believe our offense kept us close until the defense (and pitching in the end) let us down.

I can't.
Some kids that I’m friends with on Facebook will talk about getting shit-faced and whatnot…
And their parents will “like” the statuses. Blows. My. Mind.
I would be grounded if my parents saw a status that I put up like that.

Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
I don't think there's anything wrong whatsoever with a social drink if you're of age.

dc_allday - April 11, 2010
they're busy
partying with them.
in my 2 years as a teacher i’ve realized what is wrong with this country (partially), and it’s parenting—or lack thereof. most new parents these days have no business having children, and are more interested in being “cool” and friendly with their children rather than teaching them values and consequences. it’s pretty tragic.

Okay, need to stop, it’s getting too depressing.

bravos1984 - April 11, 2010
His opposite field power is quite impressive, that looked like an easy pop fly. Was the wind blowing out that way, or is he just that amazing?
Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010
bbboth
dc_allday - April 11, 2010
His Hr the other day was Oppo too, right?
justincredubil02 - April 11, 2010

Smoltz's Beard - April 11, 2010

Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
Probably a little of both
MatM - April 11, 2010

EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
He's our lucky charm, send him to the mound everynight :=)
HEYJUDE - April 11, 2010
Not what Chip and I had in mind for tonight...
Maybe tomorrow night will be better…
NCChopper - April 11, 2010
Another bad loss
Could have easily swept this series. With the Braves tough early schedule, it really hurts that they have let so 3 winnable games slip away early.
letsgobravos - April 11, 2010
Wow. I missed it.
I’ll never stop watching early again. Fuck you homework. you convinced me to leave.
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010
Homework
is the worst thing ever invented
Erihury - April 11, 2010
i'm a math teacher
and i stopped giving it
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
move to Arizona
and be my teacher.
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010
are they hiring?
our district just laid off 39 1st & 2nd year teachers and i’m moving out west in august. seriously…tell me next game and i’ll look into it!
=)
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
i wish
the UofA just let go of a bunch of staff and they freakin raised tuition like crazy. no $$$ i guess
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010
too bad
all my students love me =)
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
good to hear man. i always try to be tight with all my teachers who are sports fans
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010
what's weird about it
is i’ll get on to some of them pretty hard now and then, but i guess they just can’t stay mad at me?
they’re pretty forgiving, because sometimes i flip my lid at the dumb stuff that goes on in there! ha
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
I have one male teacher this semester.
Always talks about how professional athletes are all spoiled babies, so he doesn’t watch sports anymore. He says its all about corporate America.
Needless to say, he’s an egotistical douche
TennesseeQuackAttack8 - April 11, 2010
ha...while i agree partially with his sentiment,
he seems to take it to the extreme.
these professional athletes have NOTHING to complain about. they live a charmed life in which they get to play a GAME for hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars, admired by millions, to boot.
but i can’t stop watching!!!
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
Most of them do it because they love sports...
But there will always be those few that do it for the fame and glory…no matter what profession they’re in….
Funny that he’s one of those people that always talks about his accomplishments as a teacher.
TennesseeQuackAttack8 - April 11, 2010
shoot, i have no accomplishments as a teacher
i suck.
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
Dude. Come be my teacher.
TennesseeQuackAttack8 - April 11, 2010
Me too.
TennesseeQuackAttack8 - April 11, 2010
Damn Phillies and Marlins won today right?
NCChopper - April 11, 2010
Yep.
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
yeah. Halladay pitched and Dodgers choked.
Jose Rodriguez - April 11, 2010
Braves are tied for 3rd in NL East with the Natinals... :(
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
Thank goodness it’s early. .
500 record something to build on.
NCChopper - April 11, 2010
Braves are how many games back?
Jose Rodriguez - April 11, 2010
17
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
our season is over
the Phillies have looked unbeatable against the powerful Natinals and Astros.
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010
+1
schlagdawg - April 11, 2010
Yep... :(
If the Astros and Natinals can’t beat the Phillies, the Braves don’t have a chance…
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
ASStros. What not clever enough?
romone_braves91 - April 11, 2010

EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
Heyward with the Andruw Jones HR
Not knocking him but it didn’t help.
romone_braves91 - April 11, 2010
shoot, except for game 2,
i’d say the HR was Chipper-esque
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
I think they should give Heyward the save tonight instead of the G’s reliever
Rich Town - April 11, 2010
its
official we suck. Trade Hanson and Heyward
Erihury - April 11, 2010
Sell the farm, too, right?
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
We have a farm and we haven’t put that in the lineup too????
schlagdawg - April 11, 2010
Barbaro Canizares
should be our clean up hitter.
Erihury - April 11, 2010
Shoot
He should be the GM
Skyagusta - April 11, 2010
Phillies got Washington, Marlins got Cincinnati tomorrow. Great.
Jose Rodriguez - April 11, 2010
well
we got San Diego so its not to bad
Erihury - April 11, 2010
Observation:
The TC Heyward HR logo was down today, and Heyward hit another one.
THE THEORY STILL HOLDS!!
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
hahaha
atl192485 - April 11, 2010
im telling you
without the logo, Heyward is 3 for 3. He’s gonna hit 159.
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010
What?
You don’t think he’ll have any multi-HR games?
EricGreggWasPaidOff - April 11, 2010
plus
HR on off-days where we don’t play!
atl192485 - April 11, 2010

Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010
How I feel
http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg265/SouthernFriedFan/humor/thfirestomp.gif
Glad we got the Padres tomorrow
FalconUdean - April 11, 2010
ha!
that’s the dumbest thing i’ve ever seen
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
Gwinnett should play for Atlanta.
Jose Rodriguez - April 11, 2010
See everyone tomorrow
it’s my first series tomorrow…hope it goes well.
Scott Coleman - April 11, 2010
good luck.
Jose Rodriguez - April 11, 2010
best of luck
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
Bein’ mad at Matty D is like bein’ mad at your smartest student in class.
Jose Rodriguez - April 11, 2010
fades fast?
makes you chuckle?
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
Night all
FalconUdean - April 11, 2010
BRING BACK
GREG NORTON
Erihury - April 11, 2010
if that happens, i would wear a Yankees shirt and scream that I’m gay for A-Rod.
Jose Rodriguez - April 11, 2010
wow
i had already wiped him from memory.
thanks a lot
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
np.
Jose Rodriguez - April 11, 2010
What about
BRING BACK DIORY HERNANDEZ or SCOTT THORMAN
Erihury - April 11, 2010
Dude! Thorman!
God, he was Casey Kotchman without the glove. Yuck.
TennesseeQuackAttack8 - April 11, 2010
Kotch was way better.
at least he put the ball in play with regularity
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
dang it...
now the Suns are giving it up. If they blow this game, I will have a hard time sleeping.
Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
Goran Dragic

Jareth Cutestory - April 11, 2010
