I wouldn’t mind seeing McCann in the 4 and Glaus in the 5 spot now and then.
I just hope this team shows a little more power than they have so far this spring.
ATLandUNC - March 19, 2010
Honestly I think McCann will perform better out of the 5 spot. And It’s early, the power will come. As long as we’re hitting the ball right now, which everyone seems to be doing aside from McLouth, we’re fine.
BigG1392 - March 19, 2010
GO BRAVES!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Scott Coleman - March 19, 2010
Anybody know if there will be radio links?
bighop - March 19, 2010
I'm in a cave again right now
but it’s supposed to be on 680 (AM) the fan. Not sure if they’re streaming, though.
Lizziebeth - March 19, 2010
Have we started yet?
My MLB AB app isn’t letting me listen or even see a box score.
Scott Coleman - March 19, 2010 via mobile
KK gave up a single to Damon but that was it for the top of the 1st.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
kawakami...
gives basehit up to damon but escapes the first inning with no harm. braves coming to bat.
ryan c - March 19, 2010

ryan c - March 19, 2010
I appreciate y'all doing PBP...
AM radio obviously hates my house.
Little Lady - March 19, 2010
Second that
bighop - March 19, 2010
After dark, the 680 AM signal gets weaker too…
Cammando2317 - March 19, 2010
Thirded. Very much appreciated.
Lizziebeth - March 19, 2010
Glaus K’s swinging…Escobar pops out to short…2-0 Braves end of first.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Glaus
worked full count and struck out on offspeed pitch.
Wren_and_Stimpy - March 19, 2010
What the hell is going on in that KC-Arizona game? It’s 21-0 in the 5th inning…lol
BravesFan - March 19, 2010
Who’s on top?
Cammando2317 - March 19, 2010
KC on top.
BravesFan - March 19, 2010
one team playing football?
bighop - March 19, 2010
The boxscore is hilarious. Brian Anderson is 5 for 5 with 7 RBIs and was taken out of the game in the 5th inning.
BravesFan - March 19, 2010
Wow
I think that’s more RBIs than he had all of last year.
Jacob Peterson - March 19, 2010
I almost went to that game today too lol.
Scott Coleman - March 19, 2010 via mobile
lol wtf
Windu - March 19, 2010
KC laying the smackdown.
BravesFan - March 19, 2010
Damn the Clemson Tigers.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Not as bad as the Big East debacle last night
Cammando2317 - March 19, 2010
I had several of those called though. I was sitting pretty, even after the first 3 games today. The only real hurt that I had was Georgetown, but I had them losing in the Sweet 16 anyway.
However, I had Clemson in the championship – I was going for the home-run pick in my office pool.
Interestingly enough, I have the Washington, Cornell and ODU wins. Sadly, Clemson has bent me over though.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Keeping your final four in tact is the name of the game.
Cammando2317 - March 19, 2010
Yeah!
Lizziebeth - March 19, 2010
Avila doubles.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010

someguy1 - March 19, 2010
Kelly flies out to center…Avila to 3rd.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Sizemore grounds to 3rd…Avila out at the plate. 2 outs.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
If you can't listen to the Braves game

ryan c - March 19, 2010
Heyward single to right field
Windu - March 19, 2010
Who is that in your avatar if you don’t mind me asking? I thought it was Jessica Simpson at first glance.
BravesFan - March 19, 2010
yep. http://i44.tinypic.com/k0o6ye.jpg
Windu - March 19, 2010
Nice! Thanks. I would have figured she was a Texas Rangers fan.
BravesFan - March 19, 2010
They say Heyward has a nine game hitting streak and leads all of Spring Training baseball in walks.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
It certainly feels like he’s been on base non-stop for the last 3 weeks. I think the grounds crew just rakes around him now.
Jacob Peterson - March 19, 2010
+71
I Saw Buzz Beaned - March 19, 2010
He’s been on base at least once every game he’s played. That’s tough to do considering he doesn’t play a full game.
BravesFan - March 19, 2010
they say
heyward is going to star in the remake of Shaft.
ryan c - March 19, 2010
Diaz walks.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
KK bunts but they get Diaz at 2nd. Runners at the corners…1 out.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
kk bunts...
goes to 2nd and gets out diaz
ryan c - March 19, 2010
I miss having great hitting pitchers…can’ t have it all I guess
someguy1 - March 19, 2010
They said it was a good bunt, but the guy just made a good play. Maybe Diaz wasn’t going very hard.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
I’ve never seen Diaz not going hard.
I Saw Buzz Beaned - March 19, 2010
Yeah they didn’t say he wasn’t. The catcher must have just made a great play.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Thats what she said?
Erihury - March 19, 2010
Hudson is decent I guess. Watched him hit a HR in STL. I thought it was hilarious, non of the cardinal fans did though..
Windu - March 19, 2010
me too! I watched that whole series….great sweep
thenightstallion - March 19, 2010
heh yeah I was at all 3 games too. Fun times. Especially the Vazquez game, he was awesome that day.
Windu - March 19, 2010
Although the first night my seats were terrible
thenightstallion - March 19, 2010
Cabrera ground into double play.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
melky dp
ryan c - March 19, 2010
Still 2-0 Braves at the end of 2.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Great! We have play-by-play, thanks.
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Bonderman K’s.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Raburn singles to right.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Damon flies out to center.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Thank
Heyward we didnt sign him
Erihury - March 19, 2010
Ordonez K’s looking.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
KK sounds like he’s doing well, I haven’t heard much about him this spring but I’m excited about him this year. Showed flashes of greatness last year
someguy1 - March 19, 2010
Prado singles to left.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Chipper walks.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Mac K’s swinging.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
McCann Ks
Windu - March 19, 2010
Glaus GIDP. 2nd inning ending double play through 3 innings.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Don't like 2 on o outs and not getting a run in.
Go Braves:)
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Larish home run to right. 2-1 Braves.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Crap, those RISP not getting in, really $ucks now.
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Avila ground rule double to right.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Sounds like KK is starting to struggle
bighop - March 19, 2010
Kelly grounds out to 1st…Avila to 3rd.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Sizemore grounds out to 1st. 2 down.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Everett infield single to short; possible E-6. Avila scores. 2-2.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
KK strikes out pinch hitter (didn’t get the name).
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
C'mon O, get these runs back, and more.
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Figuero in to pitch.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Esco lead off double.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Yes! Good start.
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Making up for that possible error
bighop - March 19, 2010
Heyward flies out to shallow center.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Bench him, he's no good!
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
don’t you dare bench him. he might work out
bighop - March 19, 2010
Yep, afterall it is just ST!
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Diaz K’s looking.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
KK flies out to end the inning. Leadoff double leads to no runs. Still 2-2 Braves.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
I have to go, so someone else will have to take over the play by play.
sleezer1788 - March 19, 2010
Thanks
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Silence sux!
bighop - March 19, 2010
Yes, it does!
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
hr tigers…not sure who
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Geez,
KK seems to be having some problems.
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
He’s prone to the long-ball.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Justin to the rescue!
bighop - March 19, 2010
Not for long though. I just got the audio up on mlb.com, but I can only hang around for a bit. Date night with the wifey.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
any is appreciated, dinner or movie?
bighop - March 19, 2010
Yes and Yes.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Hope it wasn’t Damon
bighop - March 19, 2010
Whoever hits before Magglio. He is up now.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Magglio grounds out to 3rd. 2 outs.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
The HR was from Damon. 3-2 Tigers as whoever bats after Mags grounded out to Prado.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
SOOOOOO TEMPTED to say we should have signed him
bighop - March 19, 2010
I know.....
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Now that sux.
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Leadoff single by Melky.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
He’s better than I expected
bighop - March 19, 2010
I think he has another level still to go. People forget that he is only like 24 years old.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
I keep telling myself he was good enough for the Yankees
bighop - March 19, 2010
2-0 to Prado.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
3-0 now.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Melky caught stealing on a 3-1 pitch. 3-2 now with 1 out.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
and now there is ball 4. Not sure why we were stealing on a pitcher with a lack of command and 3 balls.
Chipper is up now with Prado on 1st and 1 out.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
2-0 to Chipper. Pitching coach out.
Man, I don’t think I like this new aggression from Bobby. There was a 3-1 count to a pitcher who couldn’t find the zone, and we sent the runner. And now, there have been 3 consecutive balls.
Chipper with a line drive to LF. Runners on 1st and 2nd for McCann with 1 out.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Heap pops out. 2 out. Glaus up.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Time for Glaus to catch one in the screws
bighop - March 19, 2010
Glaus hits the 1-1 pitch and singles to RF. Run scores. 3-3.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Love Glaus.
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Me too. Steal of the offseason.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Agreed!
I’m already a big Glaus fan.
Little Lady - March 19, 2010
Escobar up now. runners on the corners with 2 outs.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Escobar hits the first pitch to RF for out #3. We just gave away at least 1 run in that inning.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
yeah, and earlier we had 2 on 1 out and left them stranded, ugh
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
I am referring more to the Melky caught-stealing on a 3-1 pitch. It makes no sense.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
I wonder if he got the signs mixed up, makes no sense at all.
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
I bet the running slows down after ST, Cox just doesn’t try it much
bighop - March 19, 2010
Proctor in the game.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Proctor’s first pitch is 94 MPH.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Proctor now up 0-2 after hitting 93 on his second pitch…so far so good.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
love that TJ surgery
bighop - March 19, 2010
i say let ’em find their wheels in ST, good to see Bobby running more even if only ST. I would hope everyone has a green light at this point
someguy1 - March 19, 2010
Proctor Ks Avilla.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
very cool, Proctor is the work horse isn’t he? Torre’s favorite
bighop - March 19, 2010
Yeah. He is only 11 months removed from his surgery though, unlike Wagner and Hudson, who have had almost 2 years.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Kelly pops up to Conrad (in for Chipper at 3rd) and now there are 2 quick outs.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Sizemore grounds out to quickly end the top of the 6th.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
great showing, now sit him down
bighop - March 19, 2010
Proctor was impressive.
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Proctor was perfect in the frame with a K. His fastball hit as high as 94, a few times at 93 and once at 91. He K’d Avilla on the slider.
I really like Proctor. That was another good low risk-high reward signing this winter. A very good one, IMO.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Contract is such, we can have him next year if we don’t over do it early
bighop - March 19, 2010
Yeah…but if he makes the team out of ST, that part of the contract is void.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Then he doesn’t need to make the team out of ST
bighop - March 19, 2010
Yep, all I've heard is good things about him, if he can stay healthy,
which no reason he shouldn’t, if he takes it easy coming back from TJ.
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Heyward up against a lefty named Schlereth (SP?)
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
KK went 5 IPs, 6 H 3R, 2 ER. Not too shabby, considering 2 of the runs were from 2 swings.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Heyward swings and misses at the slider. 2-1 count.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Make that a 2-2 count.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Heyward hit on the thigh. OBP, baby!
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
He'll be out for a week now
Jay212033 - March 19, 2010
By "He,"
do you mean the ball, or the pitcher?
Jacob Peterson - March 19, 2010
funny :)
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Heyward not realltyHeyward vs lefties
bighop - March 19, 2010
Diaz up with 0 out and Heyward on 1st. Heyward isn’t even phased by the fact that he just got drilled with a fastball.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Diaz with a base hit to right. runners on 1st and 2nd with 0 out for Conrad.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Conrad is having a great spring training. He hits the 3-1 pitch deep to LF, and Damon actually held the runners…weird.
Matt Young up now.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
fear of that noodle arm?
bighop - March 19, 2010
Double-steal. Throw went to 2nd. both runners safe. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out for Young.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Nobody covered 2nd for the Tigers, because Heyward took off first, and Avilla was trying to throw to 2nd.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Braves double steal? that’s nuts
bighop - March 19, 2010
Young Ks. 2 outs now for Prado.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
1-1 to Prado now.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
1-2
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
After a couple of fouls, the count is now 2-2.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Prado walks. Bases juiced for Hicks.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
what an at bat, about 6 minutes
bighop - March 19, 2010
wrong
4 minutes
bighop - March 19, 2010
He still battled back. It was a good one.
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Hicks is in a good battle of his own. 3-1 pitch grounded out. 3 stranded. 3-3 game still.
And with that, I am out folks. Sorry!
justincredubil02 - March 19, 2010
Thanks
bighop - March 19, 2010
Thanks, and have a fun night!
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Anyone else have audio?
HEYJUDE - March 19, 2010
Not I said the pig
bighop - March 19, 2010
Jude, I’m outta here, have a good evening
bighop - March 19, 2010
You too!
