Atlanta Braves Fan Confidence Poll

Every other Friday this off-season Talking Chop presents the Atlanta Braves fan confidence poll. This poll and therefore your confidence level should encompasses several areas of the team. These areas include, but are not limited to, the team’s ownership, current management, talent, minor-league system, general playing ability on the field, and of course during the off-season, how our off-season is going. The poll will stay open for 48 hours, and then the results will be posted and graphed against the previous weeks.

confidence should be high!

With the projected lineup our team bating avg. would be .287 with an OBP of .360. I used the players career numbers. I also used Cabrera since we have nothing to go by with Heyward.
That is pretty fantastic team batting. We may not have the fire power that some teams have but we certainly have some hitters.

Also, with our 2010 starting rotation their career era avg is 3.46. That is obviously fantastic. With above avg hitters from top to bottom we should be able to manufacture enough runs for this type of pitching staff.

Don’t forget, one of the best closers in the history of baseball shutting the door.

I gave it an 8

like everyone I guess, maybe it’s because it’s February and I’m always hopelessly optimistic about the Braves but I really like the way this team looks. There doesn’t seem to be a hole in the lineup (short of Cabrera or Heyward under performing) and the rotation is excellent as always.

But what I really like is the bullpen. We have some good arms in there this year. Saito and Wagner aren’t locks for excellent years but Wagner has something to prove and doesn’t seem to be affected by his recent surgery. Saito is a bigger question mark but I think the move to the NL East will help him out. 8/10, the Phillies are still the team to beat (just threw up in my mouth writing that) but the Braves are looking good.

Still at a 7. I’d like to vote higher, and I’m very excited about the upcoming season, but I still have concerns about how Glaus will bounce back and health/age issues that might await Saito and Wagner.

Still a 1...

no Pujols, no Damon. What is that damn cheapskate Wren waiting on?

Pujols is a scrub.

With all those roids McGwire’s gonna put in his Wheaties dude is bound to pump out 100 HRs this year

I tried to vote negative, but the poll wouldn’t let me.

I can’t believe Wren hasn’t signed Damon for 4 years/$28M yet.
