If you're like me and you can't wait until that very first hint of spring, then you're in luck as you won't have to wait longer than the very first Braves game of Spring Training. Between the MLB Network, Fox Sports South, and ESPN, there will be tons of Braves games on TV this spring. Here is a rundown:
Tuesday, March 2nd @ 1pm - Braves vs. Mets on MLB
Tuesday, March 9th @ 7pm - Phillies vs. Braves on CSS (Comcast?) and MLB
Thursday, March 11th @ 7pm - Braves vs. Yankees on CSS and MLB
Tuesday, March 16th @ 1pm - Marlins vs. Braves on FSS and MLB
Wednesday, March 17th @ 1pm - Braves vs. Marlins on FSS and MLB
Tuesday, March 23rd @ 1pm - Braves vs. Mets on ESPN
Wednesday, March 24th @ 1pm - Phillies vs. Braves on ESPN
Friday, March 26th @ 1pm - Tigers vs. Braves on ESPN
Tuesday, March 30th @ 1pm - Yankees vs. Braves on CSS
Wednesday, March 31st @ 1pm - Astros vs. Braves on CSS and MLB
That's an impressive slate of games -- at least two each week. The last two games back in Atlanta will also be televised on Fox Sports South, the 2nd and 3rd of April.
The only downside to this spring television schedule is that there are no weekend games. I suppose I'll be pushing the limits of my DVR or playing a lot of hookie from work.

Great to see
When you say MLB is this the network or the MLB yearly package?
thanks
BeantownVol - February 26, 2010
Its the MLB network... 123 and 823 on comcast
HansonTheGod - February 26, 2010
Nice
817 in Boston for this guy
BeantownVol - February 26, 2010
Awesome!
Way more then we got last year. I am going to be at about 1/3 of those games personally.
Sid Bream's Moustache - February 26, 2010
Sweet. I guess I’ll have to put MLB The Show 10 down for a couple hours to watch the game on Tuesday.
BullManUGA - February 26, 2010
i hate you DISH network.
10-4 - February 26, 2010
DirecTV!!
Bmacbandwagon - February 26, 2010
Exactly!
dunnytwogloves - February 26, 2010
Yeah, Dish sucks rocks on this. But I’ll be at work for most of them anyway. Bugging the hell out of my co-worker by listening on the radio.
Lizziebeth - February 26, 2010

justincredubil02 - March 1, 2010
Sweet
Can’t wait any longer. Something’s gotta give. lol
Chief Noc-A-Homa - February 26, 2010
It might be the baseballs
Per tweet from DOB: “No vehicular damage wrought by Jason Heyward BP blasts today; just one titanic shot that cleared parking lot and yellow wall behind it.”
I decided to do a little Google Earth ranging. The only field at Disney with cars and a wall beyond right field is the main ballpark. Best average approximate I can make is about 460 feet to clear that wall beyond the cars. Oh. My.
carpengui - February 26, 2010
uh, “approximation”. (I figure the error is +/- 15 feet, but then he didn’t hit the wall, he cleared it).
carpengui - February 26, 2010
CSS is Comcast Sports. In my neck of the woods (Cobb County) it’s channel 45. Guess ESPN is saving weekends for the Yankees and Red Sox….
John Holton - February 26, 2010
Do you really need to guess? lol
Chief Noc-A-Homa - February 26, 2010
This. Sadly.
TheLetter2 - February 28, 2010
I'm f'ing pumped!
Can I get a lets go Braves?!
Scott Coleman - February 26, 2010 via mobile
Leeeeettttttsssssss goooooooo bravesssssssss!!!!!! Taking back the NL
East yo!
HansonManCrush - February 26, 2010 via mobile
You're talking Eastern Time Zone
right?
themurph - February 26, 2010
What other time zone is there? lol. ; )P
Chief Noc-A-Homa - February 26, 2010
What is a time zone?
bwellnjonesco - February 26, 2010
hardy har
At least I don’t live in Mountain time zone…nothing happens there. They don’t even list it.
themurph - February 26, 2010
hey now
I live in state that has its own time zone. How do you think I feel?
Scott Coleman - February 26, 2010
Is it cause y'all don't recognize daylight savings...
and flip from mountain to pacific?
Mr. Sanchez - February 26, 2010
yeah
im pretty sure how that works. I just know we’re on Cali time half the year and Colorado time the other half of the year.
Scott Coleman - February 26, 2010
To be more specific, it’s always Mountain Standard Time, where other parts of the nation vary from Standard to Daylight. So it’s not so much that you guys flip back and forth as the rest of the nation moves back and forth around you.
To make it more complicated, Navajo reservations within Arizona do observe DST, but the Hopi reservations inside the Navajo reservations do not.
I think I’m getting a headache.
TheLetter2 - February 28, 2010
Whoa, the room is spinning.
Lizziebeth - March 2, 2010
WTF
is that
Erihury - February 26, 2010
“Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury….”
Chief Noc-A-Homa - February 26, 2010
Welcome to Arizona
Perfect weather for 7 months of the year, hell for the other 5 months.
Scott Coleman - February 26, 2010
Okay, help me understand something here: Is that “dry heat” business complete bunk? People always tell me the heat in the Midwest and Southwest isn’t as oppressive as in the Deep South because it’s less humid. Is that true?
TheLetter2 - February 28, 2010
that's total BS
Sure, it might not be humid, but 100 degrees is hot no matter where you are. “Dry Heat” is a joke.
Scott Coleman - February 28, 2010
This may be true
But 102 degree Vegas desert outdoors feels a lot nicer than an 88 degree Atlanta evening.
royhobbs - February 28, 2010
Eh, humidity doesnt really bother me, but i can def. see where you’re coming from. Either way, I’d prefer to avoid both of those scenarios.
Scott Coleman - February 28, 2010
All I know is after three days outside at games in 40 degree weather with 25 mph plus wind, I’d take a little heat.
cbwilk - March 1, 2010
never been there
but I’m told 112 is hot. Buddies described a windy day as like standing in front of an oven with the door open.
bighop - February 28, 2010
haha, 'tis true
I just try to avoid outdoors during the day from May to September.
Scott Coleman - February 28, 2010
parking lots
Do your tennis shoes start to squish when you walk across a parking lot, like they are trying to melt?
bighop - February 28, 2010
3 on ESPN? awesome considering I don’t get any of the Southeast channels or MLB Network.
Windu - February 26, 2010
This. Hopefully I’ll be able to make the time to watch. Though maybe I can set up slingbox and watch MLB Network
GoBravesNY - February 26, 2010
MLB.TV
any of the braves spring games on MLB.TV?
atl192485 - February 26, 2010
It says over 150 games (all teams not Braves)
but I haven’t seen a schedule. I’ve wondered the same thing
eaheckman10 - February 26, 2010
Last year if it was televised MLB.TV would pick up the feed. I’m assuming/hoping it will be the same this year
Slee - February 26, 2010
Scrolling through the MLB.TV calendar, they have almost all of the games listed. Whether they pick up the feed I’m not sure
eaheckman10 - February 26, 2010
If it’s on any TV channel, it’ll be on there, IIRC.
Scott Coleman - February 26, 2010 via mobile
I added the MLB Network to my Comcast today for,
$10 bucks a month. I should be able to get all the games now!
Go Braves!
HEYJUDE - February 26, 2010
it was $10 bucks a month just for MLBN? Or did you get other premium channels too? I have Comcast too and have one of the lower level packages, but I don’t think I pay extra for it
Scott Coleman - February 26, 2010
Upgraded to the premium digital package, which includes the MLBN
HEYJUDE - February 26, 2010
24 Mar vs. Phillies
I’ll be at this game.
Heading home from Afghanistan (finally) on March 7… taking the family to Disney the week before Spring Break. Look for the guy who is 6’4", 240 lbs, wearing an old-school Murphy spring training jersey, and happy as sh*t to be back home… that’ll be me!
rbratt3 - February 27, 2010
Can't think of anything better to do after getting home :)
Doghnut - February 27, 2010
Absolutely
Gotta give credit to the Mrs. We had the idea to take the boys to Disney, but she was the one who said, “We’re not gonna be down there and NOT go see the Braves!”
rbratt3 - February 27, 2010
You picked the right one :)
Gage23 - March 1, 2010
yessir
rbratt3 - March 2, 2010
Finally
a guy on here who has a woman who likes baseball and the Braves. I was giving up hope!
Lizziebeth - March 2, 2010
thank you for your service
it’s appreciated man.
Scott Coleman - February 27, 2010
and thank you.
Keep those guys and gals in your prayers fellas (and ladies).
rbratt3 - February 27, 2010
couldn’t be more deserved man.
eaheckman10 - February 28, 2010
Awesome. So glad you’re getting to come home. A buddy of mine got to come home yesterday. I definitely know how excited you are!
Gage23 - March 1, 2010
Glad he made it safely!!!
rbratt3 - March 2, 2010
No fucking weekend games
Bullshit. I will most likely miss every one of these games.
Doghnut - February 27, 2010
Yeah, I’m thinking the office television may accidentally get switched to CSS and FSS during those day games.
TheLetter2 - February 28, 2010
you have an office television? are you hiring?
10-4 - March 1, 2010
Depends on how long I stick around, I guess. :^)
TheLetter2 - March 1, 2010
+1
