- 1st segment dedicated to Cox. Buster Onley said that if the Braves had Rivera instead of the Yankees, we would have been the team with 4 or 5 titles.
- 2nd segment dedicated to A-Rod...?
- 3rd segment was an interview with Tommy Hanson (the end of which, Carl Ravech said that they need to start talking about the Yankees again - no joke)
- 4th segment was about You Know Who - CR also called him Jason Howard. Chris Singleton loves Heyward and talks about how big he is and he said "He has a head on his shoulders like none other"...I really couldn't understand anything that Heyward said though. Cox talks about how Heyward's hits have the same "ring" to them that Hank Aaron's did at his first practice. Singleton says that Heyward will be the next face of the franchise when Chipper leaves. The BBTN crew then goes on to compare JH to Darryl Strawberry, except Heyward looks to be twice DS' size. Kurkjian said that Huddy said that Heyward's sound of the ball off the bat sounds like a .306, and Lowe said that Heyward's BP is scary. Buster talks about his plate discipline and then talks about his article about FYF and Heyward...ugh.
- 5th segment - Matt Diaz gets a haircut on the BBTN bus...classic.
Huh. I haven’t seen Steve Phillips on BBTN in a while. Any news on him?
award6 - February 25, 2010
lol for real?
He got caught hookin up with a ESPN intern, IIRC. Gotta love Steve and his “well, the Braves could win the NL East….if they can win a bunch of games against the Phillies.”

Moo...
J-Freak - February 26, 2010
You forgot to mention that none of those northerners knew what a .30-06 was.
!Vive la Francoeur! - February 25, 2010
Olney knew, hence his “redneck from Vermont” line.
Lennox - February 25, 2010
Onley is as redneck as I am Korean.
justincredubil02 - February 25, 2010
Annyong
Lennox - February 26, 2010
Annyong! (why does he keep saying his name?)
justincredubil02 - February 26, 2010
Is that a serious question?...
if it is, it’s because I’m pretty sure it isn’t his name. It’s “hello” in whatever language he speaks (Korean, Thai, Viatnamese, etc), and he’s just saying “Hello” back.
Mr. Sanchez - February 26, 2010
No, it wasn’t a serious question. I was quoting what Gob always said.
justincredubil02 - February 26, 2010
Woosh (as it flies over my head)...
stupid me. I should have known better.
Mr. Sanchez - February 26, 2010
hahaha. I was going to say something about that, but forgot to.

Just because we live in the north doesn’t mean we know nothing about guns or never go hunting.
bbxxj - February 26, 2010
there are actually quite a few rednecks in the north
Re: Indiana, parts of Upstate NY and Western Mass…
Doghnut - February 27, 2010
So was Ravech serious about needing to talk about the Yankees? Or was he being sarcastic?
heap16 - February 25, 2010 via mobile
He was baiting the audience...
Everytime he mentioned A-Rod or the Yankees the crowd started booing.
Little Lady - February 25, 2010
Oh I see. In that case, I think it’s kinda funny.
heap16 - February 26, 2010 via mobile
Glad they still found time to fellate A-Rod during the Braves edition of BBTN.
TradeAndruw - February 26, 2010
It was a long segment too.
justincredubil02 - February 26, 2010
He was almost a Brave, rumored at least,...
so it ties in. Plus, the Braves and Yankees made a trade, so in talking about the Braves, discussing the Yankees is perfectly relevant. And the Braves have at least one former Yankee on the roster, so there’s even more tie in as they’ll have to discuss what the loss of Melky means to the Yankees. See, all baseball fans are really just interested in the Yankees, so they’ve gotta keep it relatable to their viewership’s fandom.
Mr. Sanchez - February 26, 2010
hahaha. I think I would prefer for them to justify it by just going with the company line: More people like the Yankees, so we cover them more.
justincredubil02 - February 26, 2010
I haven’t watched BBTN for more than 2 minutes since MLBN came on air. That just proves my decision.
BullManUGA - February 26, 2010
Agreed
Though I’m really starting to get annoyed with Joe Magrane. He’s starting to come off as a “Joe Morgan” type know-it-all.
scstrato - February 26, 2010
This
MLBN guys do an astoundingly better job of covering all the teams. Their rapport is funnier too.
J-Freak - February 26, 2010
agreed
