Braves 2010 Caravan in Full Swing

The Atlanta Braves 2010 Winter Caravan is in full swing, with two days of caravanning already in the books. The Braves PR team is doing a fantastic job of blogging the caravan at their MLB Blogs site dedicated to the Braves Caravan. They even have some great video blogs with players and coaches. Check this one out of Fupa, Freddie, and Med:

I'll be at the E Cobb stop this afternoon

with my 12 year old. It’s mostly for him but hopefully Hoss will sign my screen print:

Take some pictures and post them in a fanpost.

Okay

BTW, I tried to link http://www.sportspropaganda.com/braves.html so I’ll just include in the text of this reply.

Learned about it here so might as well give them some love.

I wish you the best of luck with that crowd! I would go just to watch the melee, but I’m sans vehicle for the day. Get Larry’s graph on a baseball for 10-4 if you get a chance. Looking forward to the pictures.

Is it just me...

… or does Freddie look more like one of the computer geeks I see roaming the campus than an MLB first basemen?

Thats what i thought too! I thought he was an intern or something.

It's not just you

He definitely didn’t look like I thought he did either. I think it’s the hair.

It’s true! He does. But then you stand next to him and he’s like if Arnold Schwarzenegger played a computer geek in a movie.

That whole image looks like it could be...

guys standing in line waiting to see Braves, not the actual Braves themselves. None of the 3 look like “first off the bus” types.

Freddie looks like a goober.

hmm…my general area has three stops…if i managed to get to two, i could get heap, yunel and hanson…this is very tempting…

NERDS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nickname

Heyward is Superman…Freeman is Clark Kent

I got to meet these chaps at the Montgomery stop on Saturday. They’re all very pleasant folks. Schafer was one of the promoted visitors, but wasn’t there. Anyone know what happened there?

The Braves are good to their fans, but if you are looking to go to one of these caravans and you want to make absolute SURE that you get an autograph, take this advice. Get to the location 3 hours before the scheduled start time. I went to the Marietta Publix yesterday…arrived 1 hour before the start time, waited for 3 hours in the cold, and went away with nothing to show for my time except cold feet. They cut the line at least 50 people in front of me, so I never had a chance. I feel bad for the tons of people behind me in line…there was easily at least another 1,000 people behind me! So get there EARLY EARLY EARLY or you will be very dissapointed.
