Is it more tougher for pitchers or hitters in the AFL?

Pitchers. It’s just like how it is with the Diamondbacks, the air is thin so the ball carries. You just can’t give up fly balls because they travel. I think that’s why Gearrin is doing so well, first because he’s got a whole year of facing AAA vets under his belt, but also because he’s an extreme ground ball pitcher when he’s on.

It's totally a hitters league.

Even with the stadiums expanding their back walls, it’s still a hitters paradise.

Word on the street is

Kenny Powers pitched his last game in Mexico, and will report to training camp at Myrtle Beach. If only they were still our affiliate.

His road was paved with d*ckheads, backstabbers, and pains in the f*ckin’ ass...

But memories were made, allies were had, pole-smokers were toppled, and the truth was discovered.

I thought it was crazy how fast they had Myrtle Beach as the affiliate.

That impressed me as well.

Are we sure it wasn't...

a lucky hit, and they didn’t know one way or the other.

I'd love to see Young and Canizares up with the major league team next year

Even just bench spots

Canizares does keep mashing the ball wherever he goes. At some point you have to give him a chance or trade him to the Royals.

He’s a classic AAAA player – not enough D to be an everyday MLer and not enough power to be an everyday DH – but might eventually get a shot with the Royals or some other offensively impaired AL team.

The Royals do love to collect middling power DHs, as well as Braves castoffs. I smell a Greinke trade!

keep him as a bench bat

he can play 1b on freeman’s rest days
