Not a lot of reps against Kendrick for most of these guys. I guess we better get used to Melky hitting fifth. Loooonng sigh.
Too bad Marteeen is not in the lineup:

Ankiel >>> McOut
save Nate for pinch running.
[ducks from the cabbages and tomatoes]
Go Braves!
Chief Noc-A-Homa - October 1, 2010
I was going to say the same thing for Melky
I’d rather have Ankiel’s defense/wheels/arm in there…not to mention he’s hitting .400 vs. Kendrick.
DolphinNation - October 1, 2010
I don't know
McClouth owns this chump (over 13 ABs), maybe this will get him going.
Yakker - October 1, 2010
2/3 of our outfield is awful
And this isn’t new. Myself, I don’t much care which two clowns they run out there. Our offense has to come from different parts of the lineup.
SS451 - October 1, 2010
I’d never throw a cabbage at you. I’d throw corn at you.
MBL1 - October 1, 2010 via mobile
Throw apples. They hurt more.
EricGreggWasPaidOff - October 1, 2010
And you would know this how?
MBL1 - October 1, 2010 via mobile
or shoes?
Sir Veza - October 1, 2010
While I disagree with you and have plenty of corn here in Indiana, rest asured I will be throwing no virtual produce.
bbxxj - October 1, 2010 via mobile
Alabama cotton doesn't throw very well
Nor does it create much of a deterrent – even on a direct hit.
carpengui - October 1, 2010
Mmmmm, popcorn.
Lizziebeth - October 1, 2010
So seeing as TC has basically been dead this morning/afternoon
there better be a crapload of you on your way to Turner Field!
Scott Coleman - October 1, 2010
Oooooo, I'm so scared!!
rabble rabble rabble.
(leaving in 20 minutes :D)
Lizziebeth - October 1, 2010
About to go eat and start drinking.
Enjoy Arizona.
bpk228480 - October 1, 2010
Hey, the temps starting to get down to double digits again here.
king of games - October 1, 2010
Are you gonna post another video link for tonight's game?
Yakker - October 1, 2010
Hopefully, I'm not alone in this, but I'd want:
McLouth CF
Infante 2B
Heyward RF
Lee 1B
McCann C
Diaz LF
Conrad 3B
Gonzalez SS
Wren_and_Stimpy - October 1, 2010
yes thats exactly what i want! And why was everyone bashing me for calling Melky the fat useless slug he is?
Albert K - October 1, 2010
+1000
musicman - October 1, 2010
Because slugs are more mobile?
king of games - October 1, 2010
McClouth >= Ankiel. Ankiel swings at pitches no one could hit. He loves the high inside, but has never hit one in there, so I dont know why. Ankiel may have good defense, so there should be a DO rule: Designated Outfieder, who doesn’t get to hit. He is our Andruw Jones. Now lets take these chumps, GO BRAVES!
HeyMikey - October 1, 2010
I'd keep Heyward in the 2 hole
Maybe shift Infante down to 6 or so. Also, no way should McCann be hitting lower than fourth.
SS451 - October 1, 2010
The Braves are 2-0 in games started by Kendrick this season...
…despite Kendrick only allowing one run in 15 innings to the Braves this year. Both times, the Braves rallied against the Phillies ’pen to win it in extra innings.
AnEternalEnigma - October 1, 2010
i recognize that monicker!
is this dustin? i’ll venture that it’s so — this is brandon, kaung’s (and rodger, han, jay m, etc.) friend.
brndn - October 1, 2010
Do all Melky, Ankiel, McLouth, Diaz and Hinske make the playoff roster along with Heyward? Heyward is an obvious lock, Hinske can play 1B/3B so he makes it, Diaz is our only righty out there, Ankiel is the best defender, Bobby seems to love Melky and he has playoff experience and McLouth is the
best baserunner and has hit as good as any of them lately. I’d like to take both Glaus and Freeman but how can you with six outfielders?
bbxxj - October 1, 2010 via mobile
Well...
It’s easy. You justify it by calling Hinske a utility player instead of an outfielder. The team is running a bit thin on options to play 3B, despite the fact that Hinske never gets any play time there. He is allegedly capable at that position, though.
EricGreggWasPaidOff - October 1, 2010
Anyone got Philly's lineup?
Undocorkscrew - October 1, 2010
Rollins SS
Francisco RF
Utley 2B
Howard 1B
Werth CF
Ibanez LF
Dobbs 3B
Ruiz C
Kendrick P
Scott Coleman - October 1, 2010
Bah...
They’re playing Rollins? Just bah!
EricGreggWasPaidOff - October 1, 2010
he'll probably be the only "regular" to play a lot in all three games
just to get him some more ABs
shouldn’t be a surprise
nuftjedi - October 1, 2010
Boras payed them 1M to play Werth in CF.
bbxxj - October 1, 2010 via mobile
Ugh...
That’s not the uber scrub I was looking for.
SuperNewb - October 1, 2010
Definitely not the “B” squad.
Yakker - October 1, 2010
Guess the real question is if they all play the whole game
SuperNewb - October 1, 2010
Yeah, hard to say.
I’ve learned that trying to predict what Charlie Manuel will do is virtually impossible.
Yakker - October 1, 2010
Diaz should get more time in left than Melky
Does Bobby have a man crush on the melk man?
SmithnCompany - October 1, 2010
Kendrick is a righty...
Diaz is the LF platooneer for LHP.
C
cthabeerman - October 1, 2010
i want diaz!!
willlinn - October 1, 2010
ok that came off too strong
or did it?
what does he think melky is a luck charm?
willlinn - October 1, 2010
hey everyone!
Looks like “A” lineup for the Phils, Sadly I think this may also be our “A” lineup right now:( Watch, we’ll kill ’em tonite
jdmarine - October 1, 2010
YOU CAN'T HONESTLY THINK YOU CAN GET REAL INFORMATION FROM SUCH A SMALL SAMPLE
YOU CAN’T PROVE EVER HOW GOOD BATTERS ARE AGAINST PITCHERS… THIS IS SILLY!!!
AH CAPITAL LETTERS!
SuperNewb - October 1, 2010
some larger sizes might be more revealing…
Braves Biceps - October 1, 2010
New to this forum
I have been reading TC for about twenty weeks now. I like reading it after the fact. I will most likely be commenting during the games this weekend, but it sounds like a lot of regulars will actually be at the game.
BravesFaninAZ - October 1, 2010
Long time Braves fan
I’ve been following the Braves since their “worst to first” season.
