Here's a look at the major stories in the world of the Atlanta Braves for the week ending on January 3rd, it was a slow week:
In the Press...
David O'Brien at the AJC speculated that the moves are definitely not over for the Braves, who likely have between $7 and $9 million left to spend.
At Talking Chop...
The Fan Confidence dropped for the third consecutive fortnight, indicating that Braves fans are none too happy about the direction the team is taking this off-season.
We asked fans to vote as to where newly acquired pitching prospect Arodys Vizcaino should rank in the Braves top prospects. The results reveal that we will rank him fourth, behind Julio Teheran, and in front of Mike Minor.
bbxxjhas a nice review of what kind of team the Braves had in their 1995 World Series year.
schaef888 recapped a BA chat by Jim Callis, highlighting the Braves' tidbits.

I wouldn’t mindif the Braves hold onto that money and see what’s needed near the deadline. Might find a bargin or need an injury replacement. Melky was a decent player in the AL East. I wouldn’t be surprised to see his numbers improve in the NL East. He will make a nice RFer with that arm and above average speed.

I’d be surprised if his power numbers increased, but he won’t be horrible.
