This winning thing, this is fun, and I could get used to it. Derek Lowe was Derek Lowe and held the Nats close and allowed the Braves to get back into it after giving up 2 runs in the first inning, and then the lead again after the Braves had tied it in the fourth. Apparently the solo homerun was the problem for Lowe, as three homeruns accounted for all the Nats scoring on the day.
The Braves came back and tied it in the seventh and then won in the tenth off of the the Nats "closer." Brian McCann didn't ground into a double play while driving in the go-ahead run, and Omar Infante came through with a key 2-run, 2-out hit to put the Braves up by 3. Rafael Soriano came on in the ninth to toss some easy-queso by the Nats "hitters."
And currently Colorado is losing...

This Win plus the impending colorado loss
is the only thing keeping me after the Tennessee Titans dropped to 0-3

...poor you.

AH, my Colts destroyed them. What fun. Im not that pissed about Barmes’ play anymore.
Scott Coleman - September 28, 2009
Oh.
Well good, then. It’s always fun to see another QB have exactly the performance Jake Delhomme gets destroyed for because his line falls on their face.

Big Colts fan here too. Grew up in Indiana.
It was great being able to watch the game on tv. I was happy that the Cards don’t have a running game…gave the defense a break.

I predicted that they would finish 4th in the division, behind Jax, Indy and Houston (in that order…)

Not even Derek Lowe or Greg Norton can bring us down right now. “lol”
Go Yunel!! Go Bravos!!!

Lowe giving up Homeruns yikes!!! Besides that, a great game!!!!

Colorado is currently winning. 4-3
blitzerlover - September 27, 2009
The Cards are hanging on thru 7. The Rockies have 8 hits, but are still leading by 1.
Chief Noc-A-Homa - September 27, 2009
Cards/Rox game is on TBS, by the way. I had no idea…2 on, 1 out.
Weldon - September 27, 2009
hahaha, you can’t be serious. What a preposterous way for this one to end.
Weldon - September 27, 2009
Damn!!!!
What an unbelievable finish in Colorado. Barmes made a season-saving catch… unbelievable.
gondeee - September 27, 2009
I know! WTF was he doing off first???
nick9314 - September 27, 2009
I understand why Pujols wanted to get to third, but what the hell was Lugo doing? It almost looked like he could have tagged up in the time it took Barmes to get his bearings and throw Pujols out at first…or at least tried.
Weldon - September 27, 2009
Yeah, what was puljos and lugo thinking? They both ran off the back on a bloop to the outfield. You learn in little league to stay close to the bag on balls in the air, if you are unsure if they will land or not…. that was just stupid.

How SWEEP it is!
NCChopper - September 27, 2009
Phillies won, Colorado won, Marlins lost.
4.5 & 2.5 games back is very manageable.
LET’S DO THIS!
NCChopper - September 27, 2009
Another reason to hate the Cards. That is one bandwagon I will never jump on.
