wheres cody johnson and f.freeman
ca$hmere36 - July 23, 2009
Cody Johnson apparently didn’t play tonight. Freeman went 1-4, single, for Mississippi.
Bronn - July 23, 2009
I was at the game....
….and Johnson didn’t even PH when the LF spot came up in the bottom of the ninth in a two-run game. Huddy looked pretty good for his first two innings but had to get pulled in the third. The velocity and movement was all there though.

How did Rohrbough look, then? Nice to see a solid outing from him, even if he did allow two runs.
Bronn - July 23, 2009
Rohr worked himself into trouble in the one inning that he allowed those two runs, but he was pretty nasty the rest of the way. Plenty of swinging strikes. He looked like the Rohrbough a lot of us were expecting when the season began.
bravesfan91 - July 23, 2009
How about Heyward? The man reaches base at least twice in every game.
Also, Brandon Jones did something really weird tonight-he hit a ball over the fence. Is that a good thing?
That looks like it must be Cole Rohrbough’s best game in a long time. The 7 Ks and 1 BB are an extremely good sign. Maybe Tim Hudson inspired him a bit today.

huddy there with Cole has to be a great thing. tim is such a great guy, I bet he did have a talk with him.

Here was the conversation:
Huddy: “Cole, have you heard of Tommy Hanson and Jair Jurrjens?”
Cole: “Yes. Why?”
Huddy: “Well, Tommy is the next Smoltz and JJ is the next Maddux. Who does that leave out?”
Cole: “Tom Glavine. Hey, he was a southpaw just like me!”
Huddy: “Yep. I think Tommy and JJ need a left-handed partner.”
Cole: “I agree. Now im gonna work my ass off to get there.”
Huddy: “Good boy. Now watch we whoop on some 19 year olds.”
Or at least i can only hope.

watch e whoop 19 year olds. HAHA I love it!
Zeus12888 - July 24, 2009
The game was on TV which was nice.
I enjoyed seeing BJones homer. I wish I could have seen more of them when he was up with the Braves.
We’ve got some big boys that can hit coming up. It was also nice to see Brooksy. I’m gonna miss him, maybe he will get to come back up when the roster expands.
Pitching was great also!
Nice game to see….
