Game 54 Recap: Brewers 3, Helpless Offense 0

The Braves are in the midst of a 22-inning scoreless drought after suffering through their second straight shutout at the hands of the Brewers. There are signs that the team is trying to do more to score runs, though. The Braves stole a season-high 3 stolen bases tonight (plus a defensive indifference in the ninth inning), trying their best to manufacture some runs. Last night it was Gallard's brilliance on the mound, but tonight it was Suppan's craftiness and a lack of timely hitting.

Why do we always suffer in June? Is it something to do with the sudden heat and humidity of the south affecting the players? Something's gotta give, and at some point things will turn around.

Javier Vazquez pitched another good game -- a quality start -- where he ends up taking the loss. Nate McLouth got his first hit in a Braves uniform. He also walked once and stole a base.

Chipper Jones exited the game in the fifth-inning with a brand new injury, for him -- dizziness. Okay...

Hey, everything will be fine tomorrow, though, as Tommy Hanson will make his much anticipated major league debut. I know I can't wait.

Somebody had to remind Nate McLouth that he was in Atlanta.
Was it because of...

The lack of offense, the lack of fans, or the fact that the game wasn’t televised more than 10 miles from the stadium.

Sorry, PeachtreeTV related bitterness was setting in there.

Hey, i’ve seen two shutouts in a row! WooWoo! I’ll think i’ll stay home tomorrow, for Hanson’s sake.

I better get a point for picking “nobody” on my pick to click for NAHWAL!

Looks like the Brewers had their own young “prospect” call-up (Mike Cameron’s son):

Headline for 6/7/2009

Hanson throws complete game shutout; Braves lose 1-0 in 10 innings.

Frenchy's efforts on the homers were RIDICULOUS.

I love the braves. As im sure everyone else that takes the time to visit this site 5 times aday if not more. Im not a stat guru i’m not sure how many times Mr delta chased a ball in the dirt. All i know is our offence sucks! I’ll continue to pay for the over priced Mlb extra innings package to watch the braves on brewers TV or Fox sports Appalachian. Win or lose i love me some braves baseball. So i’ll tune in tomorrow to watch the braves leave 12 men on the bags and HWSRN account for 9 of them! Braves baseball ’09.

Sorry im a little drunk :D

I’d like to win a few before we play Boston and NYY, the Marlins are knocking on the door now.

If the Braves have another flop of a June, it’s time for the entire coaching staff to go.
