This act is getting old. Our starting pitcher only gives up a few runs, but our offense can't score anything against the opposing team. This team has got to find a way to score some runs, even when a tough pitcher is on the mound.
I don't care to recap this game, execpt to say that a starting pitcher with an ERA under 3.00 should not have a losing record on any team.

We didn't have McCann or Escobar...
Did we really expect to win this game, especially with Beckett on the bump?

SEND ANDERSON TO AL TEAM TO DH
G. Anderson is a cancer in the field. How can Bobby Cox yank anyone for having there head up their ass and leave Anderson in a game when he was out in left field with his hands on his knees when a infield bouncer got by the 2 clowns playing 3B & SS. Dustin Pedrosia got a Double out of it & eventually scored the Red Sox 2nd run. He should have broke as soon as the ball was hit but I guess it didn’t make enough noise to wake him up. The Braves need leaders not loafers to get out of the funk they are wallowing in. Same as one night last week when he could have got to 2nd on a misplay but he decided to just jog out of the box & settle for a single. Either cut him or try to get a warm body from an AL team.

Prob not even Corky
drumzalicious - June 27, 2009
Yeah...
It took a dude with a .316 career BA to net him.
MichaelProcton - June 27, 2009
Well.
It was against Beckett, and we were missing our clean-up hitter.
McCann changes the whole game because it changes how Chip gets pitched to. Which changes how the whole top half performs.
Anywho. Lets hope we can hit those KB’s today!

I don't think...
Anyone expecteed to win this game, but I agree this song and dance is getting really old.
Every starter on the staff (other than Hanson) has at least 2-3 losses that they don’t deserve because of the complete ineptitude of the offense.
When do we get to a point where we realize that adding another remedial outfielder isn’t going to be enough and we look to the future again?

its well beyond 2-3

In a just world Jurrjens and Vazquez make the all-star team. They’ve both been fantastic. Kawakami hasn’t been bad either.

You just can’t score enough runs with an offense full of guys who will end the year with 10-15 homers and less than 10 steals. Time to get what you can for the nonproducers and find new players to take their spots.

FYF
Can we trade KJ and FYF for Micheal Jackson and Farrah Fauwcet at least they would appear more lively.

tennesseejed1 - June 27, 2009
Pulled his hammy lunging at first on the bunt.
Bobby said it was minor.

phils slaughtering tonto today.
we’ll have a must win game this afternoon..yet again.
SidKotchman - June 27, 2009
Its sad to say, but Jurrjens himself set the tone for the Braves offense when he popped up the bunt after Diory doubled to lead off the 3rd. You knew it was gonna be one of those nights after that.
As for the play where FUGA stood there with his hands on his knees when the grounder got by Diory, well, i’ve really come to expect that from him.
