With Brian McCann's vision regressing early this season he has tried eye drops, contacts, other contacts, but he finally seems to be settling on glasses instead of opting for another eye surgery during the season.
The glasses, which will look like the Oakley sunglasses that many players wear, are expected to arrive within the next couple of days. The All-Star catcher will then test them during a Minor League rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett.
He knows the team needs him in the lineup, and kudos to him for trying to get back in there as fast as he can.

PLEASE Work we need Heap back in the lineup!

Hope he gets an EXTRA PAIR of the Oakleys
All we need is for him to have to leave a game when a pair breaks, and he doesn’t have back-ups

That is what I why was thinking ...
He should order 3 or 4 pairs.

Didn’t he just have LASIK?

On the bright side, we now have the smartest catcher in all of baseball.

I’m trying to look on the bright side of this. Hopefully this added rest, as well as the weight loss allows him to have his best second half yet.

START THE GAME EARLY TO AVOID THE DAMNED RAIN

Anybody know when the assignment with Gwinnett will be? I’d love to head up there and see him.

Lasik...
it seems they’ve tried everything to avoid getting Lasik again, at this point it seems like we should just cut our losses and Heap should get it out of the way. By trying to avoid it he’s missed more time.

Brian McCann will become my favorite player in the history of all sports if he goes with the Horace Grant-like goggles.

I’d prefer Chris Sabo
