Welp, so much for my first shot at game recapping. Mother Nature's wrath has sullied yet another Derek Lowe start, and the finale for the Diamondbacks at Braves series has been postponed. No make-up date has been announced, but I suspect sometimes in mid-to-late August when the Snakes have to come back out east to face the Phillies and Astros. Hopefully this won't be one of those situations where we miss out on Jon Garland due to weather, and then get saddled with taking on Dan Haren or Brandon Webb when he gets healthy again.
Derek Lowe will be pushed to tomorrow, and subsequently, the debut of prospect Kris Medlen is pushed to Thursday instead of Tuesday, where he tentatively slated to be pitching against Rockies ace, Aaron Cook.

I think...
…it’s a lock that we will get Haran or Webb, while the aforementioned Phillies will probably get Garland. The bright side of that scenario? Large Joseph can catch the game in Philly and see his favorite pitcher.

also...
…Lowe needs to get a second job as a rainmaker.

If we had signed him instead of the Dodgers a few years ago, Lake Lanier would be full, and there would be no need for watering restrictions. Farmers wouldn’t have been forced to sell all their cattle because there was no grass for the cattle to graze, and no hay to bale in the fields to feed in the winter.
