Atlanta Braves Fan Confidence Poll

Not to promote a rival team's blog in any significant way, but Matt Cerrone's MetsBlog does a weekly confidence poll, and I thought this would be a great time to start our own Braves confidence poll that would lead to us keeping an ongoing tally of how confident Braves fans -- vis-a-vis readers of Talking Chop -- are in the Braves.

This poll and therefore your confidence level should encompasses several areas of the team. These areas include, but are not limited to, the team’s ownership, current management, talent, minor-league system, and general playing ability on the field. If the Braves lay an egg one week, but are still above .500, then confidence shouldn't go down too much. If we sweep a series or two, but we're not in first, the confidence level should not go through the roof. Make this an accurate reflection of your overall confidence in our organization (remember, Bobby Cox is watching you).

I'll post one of these each week on Friday with an attached poll. The poll will stay open for 48 hours, and then the results will be posted and graphed against the previous weeks.

Poll
On a scale of 1-to-10, with 10 being "100 percent confident," and 1 being "no confidence at all," how confident are you in the Atlanta Braves organization?

I threw out a 7…it would be higher if we didn’t sign a left fielder who is over the hill and that Repko rumor never surfaced yesterday.

Likewise, for exactly the same reasons.

I voted an 8; the Repko rumor didn’t damage anything from my POV but like everyone else I would have liked to have seen a younger, RH bat for LF. Other than that…pretty good offseason.

I was going to vote for Anoop...

…but then I realized this was a baseball site, and not American Idol. Seriously though, a weekly poll seems a bit overboard. It just perpetuates the natural tendency towards short-term thinking. But I suppose I don’t have to participate if I don’t want to…

I met Felicia Barton today. She sang the National Anthem at Harbor Park and then ended up sitting behind me. She’s really nice. And insanely pretty.

i gave a 8. But we should have gotten LUDWICK

Just what we need, a guy who strikes out 25% of the time and had a career year at 30.

you know me a big LUDWICK fan. but i am with you about bjones, since we dont have LUDWICK

confidence

Maybe I was nice by voting a 5.
