Ohman Likely to Remain a Brave

Per Jayson Stark at ESPN:

First, Brian Fuentes. Now, Will Ohman. The Braves have informed clubs that were interested in Ohman that they're keeping their primary left-handed setup man unless some team dramatically steps up its offer in the next half-hour. Ten teams were interested in Ohman. But the Braves obviously felt none of them made an offer that provided more value than the compensation pick if they lose him to free agency.

I've said this before, but I'm glad we're trying to get max value for Ohman rather than settling for mediocre propsects. I'm also okay with keeping Ohman till the end of the season with the hope of signing him, or at the very least getting draft compensation for him if he signs elsewhere.

aww i iwsh we could have traded him. The Mariners got Gaby Hernandez for Arthur Rhodes. You’d think we could have gotten ane ven better return that Hernandez. Its a shame we couldn’t strike a deal.

Can't we get Lincecum?

I really appreciate it if SF would give him to us. We could WOW them with a package of Ring, Boyer, Corky Miller, Hampton, and Glavine.

Corky alone is worth Lincecum

/sarcasm off

just to be nice to SF

I would throw in Acosta

I’d almost be willing to give Heap as a throw in to any team willing to take Acosta.

Almost. I’m not totally insane.

WOW OMG YOU GUYS ARE STOOPID. It would take more than just Corky Miller to get Lincecum OMG. Probably Julian Tavrez would have to be included.

Corky says...

“You go too far. Grr!”

what use does ohman have for this year’s team? really…theres no reason we should have kept him, unless bobby is deadset convinced that a rotation of jurrjens-campillo-hampton-morton-GOD KNOWS WHO can somehow lead us to a 40-15 stretch
