In spite of the Braves' woes over the past week, our professional hitter Chipper Jones has been swinging such a hot bat it "finally" garnered him Player of the Week honors. Over the past week Jones led the N.L. with a .579 (11-19) batting average, a 1.105 slugging percentage and a .652 on-base percentage and his 11 hits were tied for the league-lead. This, despite missing two games during the week.
We all know the importance of Chipper Jones to the Braves lineup, so let's hope these back to back days off will find him healed and ready to get into the lineup against the Cubs.

Chipper's career average...
...is currently .311 vs LH and .310 vs RH. That’s unreal.

Chipper and 400
im not gonna bother spouting off a bunch of stats we all know Chipper is hittin everything right now… but theres a lot of people who have made runs similar to CHipper’s and fallen short, theres a reason no one has done it in a 162 game season, its hard, Chipper isnt one to slow down towards the end of the year, but the fact remains, if we are in the race at the end of the year, he may not be gettin the days off he is now and that could hurt him, also this quad thing could prove to be quite troublesome… So finally, can he?... yes he can… Will He? as much as Id love to see it, i dont think its gonna happen
