Charlotte @ Richmond - Postponed
Huntsville 10, Mississippi 3
Jason Perry joined the Mississippi club today and made quite a first impression. Perry was signed as a free agent to fill the shoes of Van Pope who was placed on the DL after only playing one game since his last trip to the DL. James Parr got hammered today giving up 6 runs in 5IP. The other bright spot for the M-Braves was Kris Medlen who pitched two more scoreless innings to lower his ERA to 1.69.
Myrtle Beach 7, Kinston 2
Tyler Flowers broke out of his mini-slump in a big way. I am glad to see him finally put some charge into the ball. I know his offensive numbers will be hampered
by the Beach, but I think he can still put up some good lines. I don't know how I feel about this start from Heath. On one hand he only gave up a couple of runs (his first two of the season). On the other, he didn't strike out anyone.....and he walked 6. This is the third time this season he has allowed more walks than Ks. That is a recipe for disaster, right Russ Ortiz?
Savannah 3, Rome 10
Locke pitched one of his better games of the season, though it still wasn't all that good. I'd like to see him start going 6 innings. Though he is a cold weather guy so it may take him longer to stretch out. Heyward had a productive game. I'm surprised at his speed. For a guy as big as he is, 7 steals is quite impressive. I'd have to check but I think he leads the organization in steals currently. Carlos Lee is the second farmhand with a 5 RBI day today. Might have to watch him some more, thought he is a little old for the competition.

I like...
... how Heyward is stealing bases.

Yeah it really is impressive. You realize he is on pace for nearly 50? Mind boggling for someone his size
